Case Studies of Conjunctivitis

S.J., (Patient reference number: L-12501), one and half years old child was brought to our clinic by his parents with complaints of chronic conjunctivitis and frequent colds.
He was suffering from allergic conjunctivitis from past two months. He was antibiotics drops thrice a day and cortisone drops once a day. He was partially better with the said drops. Even if he reduced the use of eye drop by one time, his eye congestion would increase.
He was also having frequent colds and cough since one year.
There was persistent redness of eyes with sticky white discharge and lot of itching in the eyes. He was using eye drops and antibiotics with some relief, on stopping which his complaints used to relapse.
His appetite was decreased with marked craving for spicy food.
His mother was a homemaker and father was manager in the company.
He was observed to be an angry child, and when he wont get the things he would ask for, he would just throw that thing.

There was a past history of recurrent tonsillitis and he was given antibiotics for the same. There was family history of diabetes mellitus and hypothyroidism.
