This case study is of Mr. MS age 30 yrs (PIN number 13381 for reference) visited our clinic with complaints of warts.
He presented with warts which were like cauliflower like growths. On examination there were 10 warts in beard area amongst them 7 were large and 3 small. There was pain on hard pressing and also bleeding occasionally. He was not even able to shave his beard due to the over growths. This was a common presentation of viral warts.
He started getting the complaints after a period of stress as he lost his job 1yr back due to recession. For his complaints he was already on homoeopathic medications, but it didn’t help him.
He had an average appetite, but had marked craving for sweets and aversion to spicy food. His thirst was also reduced.
He was a well built person. He was very short tempered and he had lot of work related stress, was an introvert, emotional, and a very responsible person.
Taking all details of the case in consideration Dr Rajesh Shah prescribed him some research based medicines (name avoided intentionally to prevent self-medication).
Follow up details:
Patient reported after 2 month with decreases in size of all the warts with mild itching and dryness. In the subsequent visit after 1 month, patient reported that most of the large warts had disappeared, the itching and dryness was also relieved.
Patient was very pleased with the treatment and first time he visited the clinic well shaved. He didn’t have words to thank Dr Shah.
The photos attached here with illustrate the warts on day one of the treatment and after 3 months
He is still under our care and we expect complete recovery. We shall post photos once he recovers fully.
This case demonstrates the speed and efficacy of homeopathy in cases of viral warts.
Case 2:
This is a case study of master K S R 8 yr old (pin numb: 10098) a pre-existing patient at Life Force, taking treatment for vitiligo.
He came up with complaints of multiple, dry, thick cracked eruptions on the right knee since 3-4 months.
Dr Shah examined and diagnosed it as warts. They were 8 to 10 in number and mild to moderate in size.
Based on the totality of the case Dr Shah prescribed him a research based medicine (name avoided intentionally to prevent self-medication), and patient was called every 8 weeks for follow up.
Follow up details:
Within four months of treatment the size of the warts reduced remarkably and they were seen to be flattened.
In 8-10 months, all the warts had disappeared regaining normal skin at the knees, smooth and free from any eruptions.
The photos attached here with illustrate the warts on day one of the treatment and an year after the treatment was over.
This case reinforces the efficacy of homeopathic treatment for warts.
Case 3:
A 10 year old girl (Patient Reference No.L-9731) came to the clinic, accompanied with her mother, with complaints of warts on the scalp, since birth. It was a huge cluster of warts measuring around 8 cms x 3 cms, with many growths like that of cauliflower.
This was an unusual presentation of viral warts.
There was tremendous itching which lead to scratching followed by bleeding. There was no hair growth on the specified surface. The warty skin was about 2mm raised above normal skin. She had these warts for over five years.
She had an average appetite, but was extremely fond of spicy food.
She was a hyperactive child, who was always found on the move. Her mannerisms were boyish. She would wear only trouser and shirts, with complete aversion for female attire.
She would always want to go out and play games like volleyball, cricket, with her brothers. She was stubborn and would often fight with her mother, on issues of sibling rivalry. Her concentration in studies was disturbed since few months and more extrovert behavior was noticed.
There was no significant history of auto immune diseases in the family.
Based on the above history, her case was evaluated according to the homeopathic protocols and she was started on the treatment for warts. She was prescribed Dr Shah’s research based medicines for warts along with her constitutional remedy Sepia 200. It may be noted that the patient was earlier treated by a homeopath using some of the commonly used medicines such as Thuja and Causticum, without any relief.
Within 8 weeks of treatment, the itching was better by 20%. The large surface area occupied by the wart had reduced by about 20% in size. In the subsequent 8 weeks, the warts had flattened further, the cauliflower like appearance had reduced considerably.
In 12 months of treatment, the wart improved remarkably. Most of the cauliflower like vesicles had fallen off. (Please see photos). The wart was further reducing in size. The itching was better by 70%. There was an improvement in her behavior as well. Her mother was happy.
She is still under our care and we expect complete recovery. We shall post photos once she recovers fully.
This is an excellent illustration on how homeopathy can cure even difficult cases like huge cluster of warts.
Case 4:
32 year old lady, Mrs. S. S. (Patient reference number L8308) reported to the clinic for complaints of multiple viral warts since 2 years. She had numerous small, fleshy, skin-coloured growths on the finger tips of both her palms. They had become tender since a few weeks. The warts had been gradually increasing in size and number. She had been using some ointments prescribed by her Dermatologist but these had not helped her much. She was a typist and typing for a long time increased her complaints.
She had an average built with a normal appetite and thirst. She was fond of sweets, fruits and ice creams. She had no complaints pertaining to her bowels, urination and menses. Her sleep was good and refreshing.
She stayed with her husband and 6 year old son. She said that she was going through a lot of work related stress. She was into a job of medical transcription and would work from her home. The workload, deadlines for work, pressure, etc would be quite stressful for her. Previously she would have lot of anxiety about how she would manage her work. Occasionally she would feel like quitting her job due to the stress involved in her work. She would not like to remain idle. She had a happy and cheerful nature in general. She said that she would not usually get angry except when her son would not listen to her. At such times she would occasionally beat him up when very angry. She was very much afraid of cockroaches. She would tend to weep very easily and had aversion to being consoled when weeping. She had a strange fear that her skin complaints might be cancerous and that she would die of cancer.
She did not have history of any major health complaints in the past except typhoid at the age of 18 years. She had undergone Cholecystectomy about 2 years ago for complaints of gall bladder calculi.
Based on the above complaints, she was prescribed Causticum 200 along with another remedy that has been prepared at Life force for the treatment of warts. About 6 weeks after starting medication, she reported that the warts on her left hand had completely disappeared but the warts on her right hand were the same as before. She had also developed 3 tiny new warts since the last few days. After another 8 weeks of medication, she reported to us with complete recovery of the warts. All the warts on both her hands had completely disappeared and she could now work (type) without any discomfort. Her treatment was thereafter concluded and she was asked to report to us in case she developed any complaints anytime in future.
Case 5:
16 year old girl, Miss S. G. (Patient reference number L7807) reported to the clinic along with her mother from complaints of warts on her feet since 1 year. She had a few warts on the dorsum of her right foot. She would occasionally get itching on the warts. These were gradually increasing in size and in number. She mentioned that her friend also had warts on the feet and suspected this to be the source of infection in her case. She had also developed a corn on the dorsum of her foot due to ill-fitting footwear. She had got the wart cauterized about 6 months before she reported to us but it had recurred after some time.
She also complained of acne on her face since the last 2 years. She would frequently develop papular and pustular eruptions on the cheeks and forehead. These would be worse before her menses and would subside after her menses were over.
She was a slightly obese girl with an average appetite and a marked liking for sweets. She was averse to milk. She had no complaints pertaining to her stools or urine. Her sleep was sound and refreshing.
She was a student of the 10th grade and stayed with her parents and elder brother. She was a very mild person and was extremely sensitive by nature. She would immediately start weeping if she was scolded or spoken roughly to. Her mother added that she was very patient and no matter how much she would be troubled by her brother, she would never lose her patience. She would get angry if someone lied about her. She would mix easily with others and would like to be in the company of people. She would get very anxious before her exams but her performance would be amongst the best ones in her class she would usually secure a rank amongst the first three in her class.
Her brother had suffered from tuberculosis in childhood and her grandfather had diabetes, cerebro-vascular accident and had been in coma for some time before he passed away. Apart from this, there was no history of any other illness in her family or in her past.
She was prescribed Thuja 200 along with another remedy that has been prepared at Lifeforce for the treatment of warts. About 3 weeks after starting treatment, her warts were the same as before but the itching had significantly stopped. Another remedy called Causticum 200 was prescribed for her this time. A month later, she reported that her warts were almost 75% better than before. The treatment was continued on similar lines and after completing about 4 months of treatment her warts had completely disappeared. Her treatment was concluded thereafter and she was asked to report to us in case she developed any complaints anytime in future. A year later, she visited the clinic with her mother and she hadn’t developed any recurrence of the warts until this point of time.
Case 6:
21 year old male, K. K. C. (Patient reference number S5218) reported to the clinic for complaints of genital lesions since the last 7 months. He has developed multiple large, reddened, cauliflower-like, fleshy growths all around the shaft of his penis. These lesions had been increasing in size and number since then. He did not complain of any discharge or pain. On enquiring, he reported of having indulged in unprotected sexual contact with a commercial sex worker and after this he noticed the lesions coming up. His HIV test was negative.
He had an average appetite with desire for spicy foods. He had aversion to salty foods. He did not have any complaints pertaining to his bowel or bladder functions and sweating was also normal. He was more sensitive to heat in general and preferred to be in a cool environment. His sleep was good with no dreams in particular.
He was a student and he stayed with his parents and brother. He denied having any major stress in life. He came across as an affirmative person in general. He had suffered from Malaria in the past and apart from this there was no history of any other illness in the past. There was no history of any major illness in the family either.
Based on the above history he was prescribed a remedy that has been prepared at Lifeforce for the treatment of genital warts. Within a month of starting treatment, the patient informed that the warts were about 50-60% better than before. Another 6 weeks of medication cleared up his warts completely and he was as normal as he had been before he contracted this disease. He was very glad about this recovery since the other local treatments suggested to him had not worked effectively. He had even been told by his previous doctor that even if the conventional treatment will get rid of his warts locally, it will not remove the virus from his body leaving behind a possibility of recurrence later. It has been 4 years since his Homeopathic treatment was concluded and there has been no history of recurrence so far indicating that the virus has been completely cleared from his body with the Homeopathic treatment.
This case illustrates the efficiency of Homeopathic medicines in treating conditions like viral warts that otherwise do not respond well to conventional treatment.
