TREATMENT OF WARTS

by Dr. Rajesh Shah

Introduction:
Warts are actually benign growths of the epidermis caused by a virus. The virus resides in the bottom layer of the epidermis and replicates there. Warts can appear nearly anywhere on the body and they differ in appearance, size, and shape. .

Cause:

Viral warts, as the name suggests, are caused by virus, the most common being human papillomavirus (HPV) group. There are different sub-types of HPV which cause different types of warts. Like any other viral disease, viral warts are contagious and spread by direct contact..

Viral warts and other wart like growths:
Viral warts can be confused at times with other skin growths such as skin-tags (benign skin tumour), molluscum contagiosum (growths on the skin which look like white pearls; caused by another group of virus; often observed in children), moles, birth-marks, lichen planus, etc. A careful look by a trained doctor makes the diagnosis clear.

Treatment:
Warts, in the past and even presently, are often treated locally with the help of some liquid or solution. Some cases are treated by cauterization (burning the warts) by skin doctors. All such measures, it has been observed, are temporary; and the warts reappear after some time.

Homoeopathy Cure for Warts:
Homoeopathy offers an excellent and promising cure for warts. The beauty of the treatment is that the medicines are to be taken orally and there is no local application. This treatment, in turn, treats the ailment from within, for a long time and almost permanently.

Course of treatment:
The duration of treatment varies from patient to patient. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of warts and their chronicity. Approximately, within three months or so, one finds positive results. Warts which are many in number and have existed for more than five years may need longer course of medication.

Is it safe?
Homoeopathic treatment is essentially safe and absolutely harmless, which may be taken along with any other medicine, if required.

Are there specific remedies for warts?
There are about 25 possible medicines for warts in homoeopathy. Every patient with warts may require one of this group of medicines based on his individual symptomatology. Only after a detailed case study, the correct remedy can be determined for any patients.

What is the cure rate?
A study of over 200 cases of warts at Life Force Center has indicated a success rate of over 85%.

How to consult a homoeopathic doctor?
There are homoeopathic doctors in many parts of the world, especially in Asia, Europe, Australia, Canada, U.S.A., Africa. One may make an inquiry with a local homoeopathic college or organization requesting a recommendation for a qualified homoeopathic practitioner. You might find a list of homoeopaths on the internet. However, there are many places, towns and villages where one may not locate a qualified homoeopath. Those patients, who may find it difficult to find a qualified, experienced homoeopath, may take advantage of our Online consultation for long-distance treatment on the internet.
