80%-90% Recovery From Lichen Planus Achieved With Homeopathy At Life Force

A 52-years-old patient, Mrs. M. D. T. (PIN 29415) visited Life Force for her complaint of oral lichen planus on 3rd August 2015. From the past 2.5 months, she was suffering from oral lichen planus and it was progressing slowly. She was having lichenified hyperpigmented spots on bilateral buccal mucosa, the bilateral margin of the tongue, and lower gums. Her spots were making her experience burning sensation along with difficulty in eating spicy food and hot fluids and increased salivation. She had taken allopathic medicines in the past but found no relief.

Mrs. M. D. T. also had recurrent urinary tract infections from the past two-three years. She had painful urge to pass urine along with burning pain and inability to sit due to pain.

Her father had suffered from diabetes mellitus.

She was following a vegan diet. She had an average appetite. She was having craving for spicy and hot food. Her thirst was less. Her perspiration was less. Thermally, she was ambithermal. Her bowel and micturition were normal. She was perimenopausal.

Physically, she was obese and flabby. She was experiencing disturbed sleep due to oral lichen planus. She was having scary dreams.

She was a homemaker. Her childhood was happy and supportive. There was no major family stress in her life. Her interpersonal relations with family members were good.

She was mild, gentle, affectionate, and worrisome. She wanted company only while going to sleep, otherwise, she could stay alone. She was having fear of ghosts. She was expressive, straightforward, and upfront. 

After studying her detail case history, Dr. Shah prescribed her the medicines for her oral lichen planus complaint on 3rd August 2016 for 6 weeks.

She took her medicines for 6 weeks, and she visited us for her first follow-up on 8th September 2016 and reported overall 60% improvement in her condition. Spots over her bilateral buccal mucosa, the bilateral margin of the tongue, and lower gums had reduced by 60%. Burning with difficulty in eating spicy food and hot fluids and increased salivation had also reduced. Her acne was also reduced by 60%.

She continued her medicines from Life Force. And, on 16th November 2016, her overall complaints had 80% reduced. Spots on her right and left thigh had disappeared. Spots over her bilateral buccal mucosa, a bilateral margin of the tongue, and lower gums had reduced by 80%.

On 16th December 2017, her condition was as it is. No new spots had developed. Old spots were healing. She was very happy with the results.

Finally, on 9th March 2018, the patient reported 80%-90% recovery. There were no new spots. Her old spots were healing.

Conclusion:

This case highlights that 80%-90% recovery is possible in lichen planus with the help of homeopathy.
