Psoriasis of the nails is relatively more difficult to manage and treat as compared to one only on the skin.<\/p>\n<p>Exact cause of development of nail psoriasis is not fully known. Studies show that psoriasis can happen as a result of deranged of immunity and there could be also some genetic link associated with the disease.<\/p>\n<p>Psoriasis can affect any part of the skin and appendages including nails and scalp.<\/p>\n<p>All cases of psoriasis may not have nail involvement but when the nails are affected treatment becomes challenging.<\/p>\n<p>A nail being hardest of appendages, to get affected by psoriasis there has to be a specific genetic disposition. Without that nails do not get affected easily.<\/p>\n<p>Around 10% of cases of psoriasis may have the nail involvement. When nails are affected by psoriasis there is slow and gradual inflammation and destruction of nails.<\/p>\n<p>As the process of nail growth is slow, the recovery of nail psoriasis could be even slower to bring about curative changes in case of nail psoriasis. \u00a0Psoriasis of nail has been found to be extremely difficult to treat, especially, when the recovery is aimed at treating disease with internal homeopathic medicines.<\/p>\n<p>Homeopathic medicines do not entail any use of topical or local application of any medicine on nails.
