90% Recovery From Nephrotic Syndrome In 4-Year-Old Child Found With Homeopathy

A 4-year-old girl, A.P.S. (PIN: 36611) visited our Life Force clinic for the treatment of her complaint of Nephrotic syndrome on 26th April 2018. She was diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome in September 2017, and she was on conventional treatment along with steroids.

The parents of the patient provided a detailed medical history of their child. Whenever they tried to reduce the dose of steroids, she used to suffer from a relapse of the condition. The child was on a heavy dose of steroids. She was suffering from episodes of nephrotic syndrome every alternate month after stopping the use of the steroids. The child was on steroids for five months back when she was diagnosed with it. Acute mild colds used to trigger the relapse of the condition. She was suffering from puffiness of the face and swelling all over the body. There was the presence of orbital and pedal edema. On investigation, her urine protein was found to be positive.

She was a vegetarian and had an average appetite with marked craving for sour foods and sweets. She also had an intense desire for butter. She had an immense aversion to eggs. She couldn’t tolerate the hot climate. She used to drink an average quantity of water a day. Her bowel was satisfactory and urination was normal. Her sleep was quite good. She had a family history of diabetes.

The parent of the patient reported that the patient was stubborn and used to get irritable if things won’t go according to her will. She loved the company though she was reserved in nature. Mostly, she was possessive towards her toys and mother.

Dr. Rajesh Shah studied the case in detail and prescribed research-based medicines along with constitutional medicines for six weeks to the patient. Dietary tips were also given along with the medicines.

    Follow-Ups:

On 15th June 2018, the patient visited our clinic for a follow-up and updated the feedback. The child’s health was improving with the medicines. The patient was still experiencing relapses.  Her dose of steroids was gradually tapered off. He was overall stable with the medicines. Her urine protein was negative. Her swelling all over the body was reduced to 30%.

On 1st August 2018, parents of the patient reported that she was further better. She had experienced only a very mild relapse since she started with the treatment, but her urine protein was positive a few days before. The swelling of the body was not present. Her steroid dose was changed by the pediatrician as the urine protein was positive. Based on the feedback, Dr. Shah made some changes in the prescription and gave medicines to the patient.

On 4th June 2019, the patient was reported being further better. Her dosage of steroids was reduced. Even after reducing the steroids, no acute episodes were noticed affecting the patient. She was overall better than before with the homeopathic medicines. Her urine protein was nil. Her relief in all the symptoms of nephrotic symptoms was getting much better.

On 20th January 2020, the patient’s feedback was reported by the parents that the patient was further better. She was completely off the steroids. Even after stopping the steroids, only very mild acute episodes of the cold were noticed, but they were manageable without conventional medicines. She was overall better with the homeopathic medicines and the disease was under control.

On 14th March 2020, the patient’s recovery from the complaints of the nephrotic syndrome had improved by 90%. She was completely off the steroids from the past 3 months, and she was perfectly fine. No episodes of the nephrotic syndrome were experienced by her in the last 2.5 months. Occasional cold and cough were experienced by the child but the disease did not relapse. Her urine protein was nil. She was completely fine now without the conventional medicines.

Her parents were extremely thankful to Dr. Shah and the whole Life Force team for treating their child with homeopathy and helping her to get rid of the side-effects of steroids. The child is perfectly fine and healthy now. She is continuing treatment to achieve a complete recovery.
