A 46-year-old male from Mumbai, Mr. R.R. (PIN: 40098) visited us and started homeopathic treatment for his complaint of epilepsy from Life Force’s Borivali branch clinic in May 2019.
He was suffering from epilepsy back since the age of 10 years. The patient had suffered from a head injury in childhood, and he was unconscious for almost 9 days. Epilepsy episodes started affecting him after that. Initially, the frequency of his epilepsy episodes was once in 2-3 years, but, gradually, it became frequent and affected him every year. Gradually, epilepsy episodes started occurring once every 2 months. Attacks usually affected him at night while he was sleeping. He used to experience frothing from the mouth, tongue bite, body stiffening, and eyes getting rolled up. He would suffer from all these symptoms in all the episodes. He was on anticonvulsant medicines for many years.
The appetite of the patient was average. He loved to eat spicy food and had a marked aversion to sweets. His thirst for water was average. He enjoyed a sound sleep.
The patient would work from home. He was working in the real estate sector. His wife was also doing a job. He had two kids. He had no stress and was happy with his family. He was short-tempered and often used to get irritated easily.
No other major illnesses had affected the patient in the past. Also, there was no major history of any illness in his family.
After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed Nat Sulph and some other research-based homeopathic medicines to the patient.
Follow-Ups:
On 16th October 2019, the patient updated that he was feeling better with the medicines. He did not suffer from any episode of epilepsy after he started with the homeopathic treatment. Occasionally, the patient was getting a headache for a day or two. Aside from this, he was feeling perfectly well. He was continuing his anticonvulsant medicines as he was advised.
On 31st August 2020, the patient reported that he was a lot better with the medicines. Initially, the episode of epilepsy occurred every 2 months, but no episode of epilepsy affected him after he started with homeopathic medicines. He gradually reduced the dose of the anticonvulsant medicines, which he was taking for the past 30 years. He was experiencing an overall improvement with homeopathic medicines, and his dependency on allopathic medicines was reduced.
On 12th February 2021, the patient reported that he had suffered from one episode of epilepsy a few days before. This was the first episode he experienced after he started with homeopathic medicines from Life Force. The patient was happy as the epilepsy episodes that used to affect him every two months had now occurred just once that too after a long gap. He was gradually tapering off the dose of his anticonvulsant medicines.
On 2nd June 2021, the patient updated being stable with homeopathic medicines. He had experienced an episode only once after he started with homeopathic medicines. The patient had experienced great recovery from epilepsy with homeopathy. He was very happy and satisfied with the treatment.
