I got so confident with the treatment, that i decided to stop with Mesacol...

One monday morning a 27 year old doctor, Miss T.G. (PIN no. L 10660) visited Dr Shah to seek treatment for her long standing ulcerative colitis. She was suffering with the colitis for 5 years with no response to Mesacol. The frequency of stools was 5-6 times a day with severe urge and tenesmus. The stools were semisolid with blood and marked burning at the anus. She had lost almost 10 kgs of weight in 1-2 years. She was on steroid enemas and mesacol for long time. She was an ophthalmologist by profession but due to the colitis she was facing difficulties in conducting the surgeries. She had to stop her practice.

She also suffered from frequent oral ulcers with angular stomatitis.

She was a vegetarian, with average appetite, thirst and perspiration. There was a strong desire for pica and aversion to milk. She was sensitive to hot weather.

On a lot of probing, she kept insisting that there was no major stress in her life.

Based on her history, Dr Rajesh Shah prescribed her research based medicines. She responded dramatically within first 3 months with 70% recovery of the colitis. The bleeding in the stools had reduced substantially, the frequency was less and she felt better.

After 3 months, she again started with the urge for stools, 5-6/day, along with mucus and bloody diarrhea.

Dr Rajesh Shah re-evaluated her case. After consistent efforts, she revealed certain stresses of her life.

She was extremely dominated by her father. Her father wanted her to become a gynecologist and that was the conflict between them. She wanted to be an ophthalmologist. Since this issue had started at home the problem of colitis had began for her. There would be constant fights at home, her father would frequently argue with her. She would shout and weep, thinking why he does not understand her. Along with this, she also suffered from long standing grief to her grand father’s death whom she was closest to. Anger remained unexpressed and weeping when alone were the core symptoms in her case. She kept thinking why no one understands her, remained quite most of the time.

After these details, she was prescribed Staphysagria 200 alongwith research based medicines for colitis. In 4 weeks the blood in the stools was less by 50%. The frequency of stools reduced. The tenesmus decreased.

In 8 weeks she was 70% better. She got so confident about our treatment that she decided to stop with the Mesacol and was only on homeopathy.

The improvement continued further.

Its been 6 months now and she has showed 90% improvement. She had no relapse during this time.

She had no episode of stomatitis as well.

She has started with her practise and is extremely thankful to Dr Shah for this.

This is a classic example of the astounding potential of Homeopathy in treating chronic gastrointestinal disorders like ulcerative colitis.
