Skin and oral lichen planus treated successfully with homeopathy

A 33 years old male commando in navy, Mr. V.B (Patient Identification No. 17870) visited Life Force Center on 31st Dec 2011 for treatment of skin and oral Lichen Planus.

He had developed lichen planus 8 months back which began on legs and slowly spread all over the body. He visited skin specialist and started with steroidal treatment both oral and local. Even after 3 months of steroidal treatment, his lesions were spreading and he developed oral lichen planus. This is when he got scared and visited another skin specialist who changed the medication to immunosuppressants.

He started to show some improvement in certain areas but new lesions kept coming. Then he started to look for alternative treatment. Luckily for him, one of his friends was treated by Dr Shah, who referred him to Life Force.

His case was noted in detail by an associate doctor, studied by Dr Shah. Dr Shah advised to taper and stop the steroids after explaining the side effects.

He showed typical koebner's phenomenon. The Koebner phenomenon refers to skin lesions appearing on lines of trauma. Koebner phenomenon is noticed on scratch marks. This video demonstrates Koebner phenomenon in a case of Lichen Planus. To view the video click on the below-mentioned link.

Lesions of lichen planus were flattening but hyperpigmentation marks were left which is a natural coarse of recovery. These details were explained to him and further coarse of medicines were couriered to him. As he was traveling abroad 4 months medicines were prescribed.

At 12 months follow up he reported 2 months late. His skin eruptions were 100% better. All the lesions were flattened and there were no active lesions over the skin. His oral lesions were slightly aggravated as due to traveling he had taken lots of spicy and packed food. He was advised to keep patience and to take medicines on time without missing the doses.
