25 years old shy, timid village boy was successfully treated for his Psoriasis with Dr. Shah’s research based medicines within 15 months of treatment.

Mr. D. J. K. (PIN NO - 13090) visited our clinic on 23rd December 2009. He had been affected with Psoriasis since last 12 months. Since the beginning he had been applying steroid creams which had suppressed the disease. He had small scattered spots all over the body and thick white flakes on the scalp. The itching was severe.

He had no other associated complaints.

He liked fish, chicken, spicy and chinese food. He could not tolerate cold weather. There were no complaints in bowels, urine, thirst, sleep and perspiration.

He had a low socioeconomic family background. His father was a retired government employee. His mother was a home maker. He had 2 elder brothers, both were working.

He had completed his secondary school certificate ( 10 th std.) . Now he was working by washing cars early morning and as a clerk in a spice manufacturing factory. He was staying in a joint family with his elder brother’s family.

He described his mother as a strict and dominating person. He would not dare to go against his mother’s wishes. He had a large friend’s circle and liked to enjoy life with them. He was timid and afraid of his brothers and never back answered to them. His confidence was low, but he was ambitious and wanted to buy his own bike.

He had suffered from malaria twice in the past.

His father had been suffering from diabetes. His mother was suffering from psoriasis, tuberculosis and gall stones. His maternal grandfather had asthma.

Dr. Shah studied his case in detail and prescribed him Kali Sulphuricum 30c along with some research based medicines. He was advised to gradually taper down the steroid creams. There was some resurfacing after he stopped the steroid creams. Dr Shah managed this with dose enhancement. He was given Kali Sulphuricum 200c.

After 6 months of medication (14.6.10) – he reported with significant relief in his psoriasis. There would be occasional mild increase of scalp patches. The itching had decreased considerably. His medicines were upgraded and Carcinosin 200 was given along with research based medicines.

After a years’ treatment (22.12.10) – he experienced 75% improvement. The mild flare ups had reduced. There was no itching. The scalp patches were almost better.

After 15 months of treatment (4.3.11) – he reported 90% improvement. He is still under our care. He has remained in remission for long duration. Some minor flare ups do occur, they are managed with dose adjustments.

He never required steroid creams in the last 1-2 years, and there has been 90-95 % remission, which can be accepted as a good control with no side effects and no use of steroids.
