I have responded excellently to the treatment. Improvement is substantial since the treatment started. There is 95% improvement. There is complete stoppage of spread, a complete drying up of the affected areas and no oozing whatsoever, a significant change in the coloration of the lichen planus from deep maroon to a much lighter shade and a great reduction in the itching. There are only some areas of the lower feet which itch occasionally. I express my deep gratitude to Dr. Shah and his able team for having achieved so much in the cure of this most vexatious disease. I have done very well with the treatment for thyroid over the past 5 months. I had a TSH performed on 23 January 2008 in which the result was 2.75 uIU/ml. I do not cry as easily as before and I seem more engaged in the world around me. The dry skin behind my ears has also got much better. My son Mst AS was suffering from NS since last many years. He would have repeated episodes of protein loss in the urine and swelling over the face and the body. We had started with steroids for him. The steroids helped in reducing the protein loss in urine but when ever he would have some infection specially throat infection that would again increase the protein loss and his need for steroids increased day by day.
