Dr Rajesh Shah evolved professionally from a humble homeopathic practitioner in 1985 by setting up a small clinic he rented hourly, using two hours a day at a modest rent. A modest beginning, but with high aspirations; the ace homeopath of the time, Dr BN Chakravarty, then personal homeopath to the president of India and to superstar Amitabh Bachchan, came all the way from Kolkata to launch Dr Shah’s career by inaugurating the clinic. He wrote in the guestbook: I know Dr Rajesh will create something unprecedented in homeopathy.
Dr Shah saw a huge opportunity in homeopathy. An opportunity to bring enormous change to people's lives. He also recognized that the homeopathic system of medicine, though highly sophisticated in approach, had gaps in its application because of inadequate research. He soon became involved in teaching and promoting homeopathy. He joined a group that invited George Vithoulkas (and many others) to India for his first conference in 1985. Inspired by Vithoulkas’ vision for homeopathy, he invited him again in 1994 to Mumbai, India. Dr Shah began teaching at CMPH Medical College and, from 1990 to 2000, conducted seminars and workshops in many countries. Interestingly, Vithoulkas invited Dr Shah to conduct a two-day seminar at his institute in Alonissos, Greece, in 1997.
In early 1995, the Internet emerged, and Dr Shah immediately seized the opportunity to promote homeopathy. He launched probably the first medical website from India and also introduced the concept of Online medical practice, a one-of-a-kind idea. He realized that no other medium could reach the masses like the Internet. He launched over 25 websites devoted to homeopathy, which helped promote homeopathy on a large scale.
His involvement, integration, and commitment to homeopathy brought a large number of clients from across the world to his already successful practice. His entrepreneurial approach allowed him to set several ‘firsts’ in India, including the first medical website, video conferencing, e-commerce, and ISO 9001:2000 certification for a research-linked clinic, as well as a paperless clinic.
Life Force Homeopathy was established in 2003 and became one of India's largest homeopathic clinics.
As his practice grew busier, Dr Shah also decided to focus on research, an area close to his heart. He started developing new homeopathic medicines and improved the older method of drug discovery in homeopathy.
After being recognized as the doctor treating patients from the most countries in the world, Dr Shah feels his reach is not yet enough; he has yet to reach many more, bringing the benefits of homeopathy's healing science.
