A vegan diet can be taken by any person except for the children who are under 2 years. These children have special dietary requirements that may not be fulfilled by going VEGAN. Besides the kids, pregnant women also should carefully plan their diet in case they plan to adopt the vegan diet.

This diet plan can be adopted to reduce the risks of many serious diseases. A vegan diet keeps the blood sugar levels under control and hence reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes. This diet can control cholesterol and triglycerides, thereby reducing the risk of high blood pressure and cardiac disease. A vegan diet may improve your kidney function. It is also helpful in treating and obtaining relief in arthritis, joints pains, and Alzheimer’s disease. A vegan diet may also protect you from certain cancers.
If a person does not balance his vegan diet, it can lead to a deficiency of vitamins and vital nutrients in the body. It is observed that if a person is not taking a proper vegan diet then he/she may experience the deficiency of certain nutrients, majorly Vitamin D, vitamin B12, calcium, iron, and omega-3 fatty acids. Hence, a balanced vegan diet that fulfills all vitamins and nutrient requirements is essential for a healthy living.
A person going vegan should have a good intake of fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, cereals, and nuts. Dairy products can be replaced with tofu, soya milk, and yogurts. Prefer to use plant-based oils, such as Olive oil, Coconut oil, Sunflower oil, and Rapeseed oil, for cooking. Plenty of healthy fluids, such as fruit juices, etc., should be taken daily.
