Case-1: Homeopathy helped me in avoiding surgery
A forty eight years old female patient Mrs. H.J.S (Patient Identification Number11061) visited Life Force on 21st August 2008 with the complaint of pain in the left ear. This complaint started one and half years ago. She got 2-3 episodes of ear pain in the last one and half years. The pain would be relieved with antibiotics. This time she was having ear pain since the last 20 days. She took antibiotics which did not help. She was having watery, offensive discharge from the left ear. Pain was not severe. There was some hearing difficulty as well.
She was advised to do an X ray of the Mastoid bone in which it was diagnosed as chronic Mastoiditis. She had been advised surgery by ENT specialist.
Her appetite was normal with strong craving for sweets. Perspiration, bowel habits etc. were normal. She was more tolerant to cold as compared to heat. Sleep was good with no specific dreams.
There was a family history of Diabetes Mellitus and Asthma in her case.
Mrs. H.J.S was a house wife. Her husband was a businessman. She had a 17 years old son who was a student of engineering. The patient was anxious and reserved by nature. She would get worried about small things. She was very caring and affectionate.
Dr. Shah studied her case in detail and prescribed research based homeopathic medicines. In the first two months of the treatment, the left ear pain reduced completely. The discharge was still present. Offensiveness had reduced. She did not require antibiotics in those two months.
In her next follow up, the ear discharge had reduced. She got mild discharge from the left ear only once or twice in the last two months. There was no pain. With 8-9 months of regular homeopathic treatment, her chronic Mastoiditis got completely cured.
She visited her ENT specialist for a check up and he was pleasantly surprised, as he had recommended surgery as the only option. Homeopathy assisted her in recovery.
