A Young Boy Obtained Great Relief From Ulcerative Colitis With Homeopathic Medicine

13-years-old young student, Mr.A.B.D. (Pin no-28980) consulted for ulcerative colitis on 14th June 2016 at Life Force’s Pune branch. He was suffering from this complaint since the last two years. Initially, it was misdiagnosed as Chronic Amoebic Dysentery, but in February 2016 he was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. He had mucus as well as fresh bleeding in his stool for the last six months. He also complained bloating. Oily, spicy, fatty food, and bread aggravated his complaints. He had taken allopathic treatments in the past, but those medications did not give him a significant improvement. He was also suffering from childhood asthma.

The patient was non-vegetarian by diet. Patient liked sweets, chicken & milk a lot. He disliked capsicum and tomatoes. His thirst and perspiration were average. His stool was loose, sticky, and unsatisfied due to the complaint of ulcerative colitis. His condition did not change with the change in weather.

He was studying in 7th standard. His father was working in a private company, and his mother was a school teacher.

He was a happy and well-supported child. He was amiable, kind, and compassionate in nature. He was restless and aggressive. He missed his father because his father was working in Lucknow. He had the fear of darkness.

He had suffered from childhood asthma. In his family, his father was diabetic and his mother was suffering from hypothyroidism, vitiligo, and hypertension. His paternal grandmother was suffering from IBS, and his maternal aunt was suffering from psoriasis.

Dr. Shah studied his case in detail and prescribed him his research based molecules for ulcerative colitis.

After five weeks, he came for the first follow-up on 8th August 2016. There was no bleeding in his stool, but his stool was unsatisfied and full of mucus.

On his second follow-up on 17th September 2016, his relief from the complaints had improved. His stool reduced in numbers. There was a reduction in the amount of mucus in his stool.

He visited our centre for his next follow-up on 30th December 2016. His relief from the complaints had improved by more than 40%.

On his follow-up on 26th April 2017, his condition had drastically improved. Mucus was seen only when the patient had eaten outside food. His frequency of stool was reduced. There was no fresh bleeding in his stool.

He is still continuing the treatment for further recovery.

This case study highlights that the right diagnosis and the right homeopathic medication give very good results in treating ulcerative colitis in a short span of time.
