A 7-Years-Old Kid Got An Excellent Recovery From Nephrotic Syndrome At Life Force Homeopathy

A 7-years-old child, Master M. (PIN: 15687) visited our clinic with his parents on 23rd March 2011. The child was diagnosed with Nephrotic syndrome in February 2011. The child presented with the complaints of edema (swelling) all over the body and frequent urination. He used to suffer from severe and recurrent colds every month as well as a reduced appetite. His urine protein level was found to be 3+ with total urine protein at 1846 mg/dl.

He was taking conventional treatment from the last 1 month which included corticosteroids (Wysolone 10 mg daily). There was a strong genetic link as his father also suffered from Nephrotic syndrome. His father had a renal transplant due to the same.

A detailed case history involving all his health issues were taken. The entire case history was then studied by Dr. Shah and, based on the same, research-based homeopathic medicines were prescribed to him. The necessary dietary changes were advised to the patient.

By 5th July 2011, his condition was better by 40%. The swelling over his body had reduced considerably. His steroid doses were reduced and brought to Wysolone 10 mg on alternate days, unlike daily as earlier. The homeopathic medications helped him to reduce the steroid dose and his dependency on steroids. His appetite also started improving.

By July 2012, the patient had no swelling. The protein levels in urine were brought to normal, but, sometimes, a mild fluctuation was still being experienced in the same. His steroids were further reduced to 5 mg daily. The episodes of recurrent colds had reduced.

The patient’s doses of steroids were completely stopped from August 2014. The patient was completely on homeopathic medications only.

By August 2015, the child was without steroids from 1 year and was doing well. His appetite was normal. No relapse was experienced by him in the last 8 months.

During the follow-up in April 2016, the patient was asymptomatic with no complaints. His urine protein level was Nil when urine test was done in March 2016. Medications were still continued by him to prevent any further relapse.

In September 2016, the child complained of two acute episodes of cold that occurred in the last 4 months, however, other than that the patient was fine. The urine protein test which was repeated in September 2016 also showed Nil urine protein.

Conclusion:
This case highlights that homeopathy is highly effective in treating Nephrotic Syndrome in kids successfully and safely without any side-effects. Also, homeopathy helps minimize and stop the dependency on steroids effectively.
