A Kid Was Treated For Nephrotic Syndrome Successfully By Eliminating Steroid Dependency With Homeopathy At Life Force
A 3-year-old boy from Haryana, Mr. M.S. (PIN:15687) visited Life Force Homeopathy Chembur branch on 23rd March 2011 for the complaint of Nephrotic syndrome.
The detailed medical history of the boy was given by the patient’s father and mother. He was diagnosed with the nephrotic syndrome at the age of 2 years by their doctor. The patient had a complaint of swelling all over the body. He had a complaint of recurrent cold and cough. He used to get respiratory tract infections almost every month and that led to acute episodes of nephrotic syndrome. His report showed that his urine protein was four plus. He was on steroids (Whysolone) 10 mg twice a day for many months.
He had an increased appetite with a strong desire for salty and fried food. His thirst for water had decreased. He used to experience a lot of perspiration, particularly on his forehead. There were no issues related to his stool. He had to strain hard for urination and used to cry while urinating. His sleep was sound. He was a preterm baby and the birth weight was also very low.
He was a very playful and active child. He had the past history of repeated respiratory infections. He had a strong family history of nephrotic syndrome. His father had already undergone a renal transplant in the past.
After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed him some research-based homeopathic medicines.
The patient experienced a remarkable improvement in his relief in the first follow-up. On 10th May 2011, the patient’s father reported that he is doing well. His urine proteins were reduced in the investigation reports. The swelling was still present. He had reduced the dose of steroids (Wysolone) gradually under the advice of his physician. Further medicines were prescribed to the patient according to the feedback.
After one year of the treatment on 26th April 2012, the father of the patient reported that his son is doing well with the medicines. His urine proteins are reduced further. He also reported that the swelling on his body was not present now. His steroids were further tapered and it was made to 5 mg now. On 20th March 2015, the parents of the patient reported that their child is completely fine now. He was having no complaint of swelling. His urine protein had become nil now. He was overall stable with the medicines. His physician has stopped steroids now, as he was completely fine with our medicines. His overall growth had started improving. His parents and the whole family was very happy with the results.
On 19th April 2016, he reported being perfectly fine. He was off the steroids from past one year and no complaints were present. His cold and cough were also reduced in terms of frequency and intensity. He was perfectly fine with homeopathic medicines.
On 3rd March 2017, the patient was having no symptoms of nephrotic syndrome. His cold and cough were almost cured. He was off the steroids from the last two years but no acute episodes had affected him. His urine was perfectly fine now. His parents were very happy with the results.
On 21st February 2018, the patient was reported being absolutely normal. There were no signs of nephrotic syndrome present. Some symptoms of cold and cough were present occasionally, but they did not trigger the nephrotic syndrome. He was overall stable with the medicines.
After almost 7.5 years of the treatment on 26th September 2018, the patient reported being absolutely normal. His urine protein was completely nil now. He was not on steroids from the past 3 years. In spite of stopping steroids, there was no relapse of nephrotic syndrome, and he was perfectly fine with homeopathic medicines.
