Recurrent Upper Respiratory Tract Infection Causing Relapses Of Nephrotic Syndrome Relieved With Homeopathic At Life Force

An 8-year-old boy, Mr. S. G. (PIN: 24999) visited and started the treatment from Life Force Homeopathy for his complaint of recurrent upper respiratory tract infection on 28th February 2015.
He was suffering from a recurrent upper respiratory tract infection since birth. It was affecting him very frequently. He used to suffer from its episodes once in a month. It used to last for 10 to 12 days. Its episode used to start with a cough, which was rattling. Sneezing and running nose used to bother him. Also, he used to get a fever during the episode. He was given antibiotics during acute episodes. From the last 10 months, he was also diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome. He would experience the swelling of the face during its episode. His urine protein became positive. Whenever the respiratory tract infection increased, relapse of the acute nephrotic syndrome would occur.

His appetite was average. The child loved to eat spicy food. Her thirst for water was very less. His sleep was normal and refreshing.

He was studying in school. His father was working as a Librarian. His mother was working as a nurse. He was a very happy child. The parents of the child mentioned that he was very stubborn.

No other major illnesses were noticed in his past and his family.

After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed some research-based homeopathic medicines to the patient.

Follow-Ups:

On 15th February 2016, the patient’s parents reported that he was overall better with the medicines. He was almost 50% better now. The frequency of episodes had reduced. He was getting cold and cough once in two months now. The intensity of episodes had also reduced. There was no fever bothering him. Albumin in his urine was found positive during acute cold episodes. There was an overall improvement in his health with homeopathic medicines. His allopathic medicines dose was reduced gradually.

On 27th February 2017, the patient’s father updated that the child was further better with the homeopathic medicines. The frequency and duration of attacks were less than before. He was still getting episodes of cold and cough but not very often as earlier. His urine protein started turning negative. His steroids and other allopathic medicines were reduced gradually. He was overall better now.

On 7th March 2018, the patient was further better with the medicines. The occurrence and intensity of recurrent upper respiratory tract infection had reduced. He experienced an acute episode of cold 10 before days and was required to give antibiotics. Also, there was a relapse of Nephrotic syndrome. Even though the urine protein was positive, there was no swelling of the face. He was advised to continue allopathic medicines during an acute relapse. Based on this feedback, he was prescribed further medicines.

On 11th March 2019, the patient’s mother reported that he was further better with homeopathic medicines. The recurrence of cough and cold was no longer present. He was neither suffering from wheezing nor from fever. His urine protein was nil. He had stopped taking allopathic medicines from the past few months. He was only on homeopathic medicines. There was an overall improvement observed in the child.

On 12th February 2020, the patient’s parents updated that he was perfectly fine with the medicines. No episode of cold and cough bothered him in the last 4 to 5 months. All the discomforting symptoms were completely relieved. No acute episode of Nephrotic syndrome had affected the child in the entire last year. His urine protein was negative. He was not required to give any allopathic medicines and was only on Homeopathy.

The patient’s parents thanked Dr. Shah and the whole Life Force team for treating their child and improving his health. Dr. Shah advised the child to discontinue the treatment as he was perfectly fine now.

Conclusion:
This case illustrates that homeopathy is highly effective in treating recurrent upper respiratory tract infections and nephrotic syndrome in children successfully and safely without any side-effects.
