Lichen Planus Lesions with Itching on Legs Treated by Dr Shah

A.N. (Patient Identification Number: 10700) visited Life Force Center with complaints of lichen planus.

He was suffering from lichen planus since three years. There were extensive lesions of lichen planus on both his legs accompanied with severe itching. Since few days new tiny ones were observed which were appearing on the abdomen.

He was on topical steroidal ointment named Beclate which would relieve the lichen planus for some time.

He also reported of seborrheic dermatitis on the scalp for over ten years with severe scaling and itching. He added he had allergic dermatitis on both the shoulders, upper arm, and back, which presented papular eruptions with intense itching.

He complained of lower backache, neck pain and shoulder pain, this was a postural pain as he was a software engineer and would work for long hours on the computer.

Dr Rajesh Shah, M.D., examined the patient and studied his case in detail. He was prescribed the research-based medicines for lichen planus along with certain medicines for his associated skin problems and joint pains.

Within eight weeks his lichen planus was better by 40%. The itching was comparatively less. The spread was slowed down. There was no itching on his arms and shoulders which indicated his allergic dermatitis was treated. The seborrheic dermatitis was relieved by 25%.

In the subsequent four months, there was a remarkable improvement in his lichen planus, all his lesions had subsided. The itching would be only occasionally. His neck pain and shoulder pain was relieved by 85%.

His treatment was continued further. There are no new eruptions and the old ones have subsided completely. The marks are fading.

The patient is very happy and satisfied with the treatment. They are continuing with the medicine further for complete recovery.
