In four months, she showed remarkable drop in her viral load

Mrs. S.J. (Patient Identification Number 16666) aged 43 years was suffering from Hepatitis C. It was detected to be genotype 3. It was detected around 2 years ago. One evening, she suddenly suffered from shortness of breath, bloating of the abdomen and loss of appetite. She was admitted and during routine investigation she came to know that she is a patient of Hepatitis C. When enquired further, she revealed that she underwent blood transfusion in 1994 and after this blood transfusion only, she contracted Hepatitis C.

She had taken interferon injections for 7 months and with interferon her viral load was 2330734 IU/ml dated 27th July 2011 , liver biopsy revealed cirrhosis with mild activity.
