67 Years old with trigeminal neuralgia severe electric shock like pain of left side of the jaw, recovered 80%
A 67 years old lady Mrs. S. G. R (patient identification number-21102) visited Life Force on 15th May 2013 .She was suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia since 2010. She complained of severe electric shock like pain along with burning sensation of left side of the jaw with heaviness of the head. She had such episodes every two hours and pain used to last for 15 - 20 minutes. She was taking allopathic medication yet the pain was unbearable; hence she thought of adding homeopathy medication to her treatment.
She had associated complaint of acidity which used to recur every 15 days. Generally whenever she had irregular meal timings she would have acidity.
She was a vegetarian with normal appetite. She liked sweets and disliked sour food. Her daily water intake was less. She had attained menopause 10 years back. She had unsatisfactory bowel movements.
She was a home maker and her family consisted of spouse, two sons, two daughter in law and three grandchildren.
Patient lost her mother when she was 12 years old. Her husband was very dominating and insulted her often without any reason. Patient said that now she had become indifferent. Patient was mild and emotional by nature.
She had undergone both knee replacement surgeries in 2012. In 1967 she had psoriasis which was treated by conventional medicines.
Her mother expired due to uterine cancer. Her father was also a cancer patient. Recently her sister was diagnosed of tumor in breast.
Dr. Shah prescribed her research based medicines after studying her case in detail.
When patient reported for her first follow up on 11th July 2013 she was glad to report that the frequency of the pain had reduced. Now she got only 4-5 episodes in a day. The episode lasted for about 2 minutes which previously was 4-5 minutes. The intensity of pain had also reduced by approximately 30-40 %.
Patient visited to our clinic on 12th August 2013 with further improvement. Her episodes had further reduced to 1-2 times a day and it lasted only for a minute. The intensity of pain had reduced up to 80%.Her acidity had also been under control. Her allopathy medication were gradually being tapered.
She is continuing with the treatment and hoping to get recovered completely.
