Time and again homeopathy has proved it's efficacy over local corticosteroid applications. This case study is another testimony of the healing potentials of homeopathy.
This is a case study of twenty five years old girl suffering from atypical palmo-plantar Psoriasis. Miss. M.A. (Patient Identification Number 17042) visited Life Force on 20th September 2011 for the complaint of palmo-plantar Psoriasis. She was suffering from Psoriasis since two years. It would start with small boil like eruptions on palms and soles. She would get severe itching and burning pain over the palms. There was no bleeding. She was using steroid cream since 5-6 months but there was no improvement with it. She was frustrated because of the Psoriasis.
She was also suffering from Hypothyroidism and was on thyroid supplements.
Her appetite was good. She was fond of sweets and chicken. Micturition and bowel habits were normal. She would get profuse sweating on the forehead. She was tolerant to both heat and cold. Her sleep was good.
Miss. M.A had done her MBA from Mumbai and was working in private company. She was mild and shy by nature. She would take time to open up. She had a fear of darkness. She was sensitive by nature, if some one passed remarks or criticized her, would get hurt easily. She would not expose her emotions but would keep it within herself and would keep brooding.
Her case history was studied by Dr. Rajesh Shah in detail and research based homeopathic medicine was prescribed. In her next visit to Life Force on 27th October 2011, she reported 30-40% improvement in her Psoriasis. There was no further spread of her Psoriasis. Itching was better by 30-40%. She was advised to gradually taper and stop her steroid application.
She reported over the phone on 15th November 2011. There was some increase in her Psoriasis on palms. She had new lesions of Psoriasis on palms since a week. Itching had also increased. This increase was because of the withdrawal effects of steroids. This was explained to her and she was asked to continue the same medicines.
She gave her subsequent feedback on 30th November 2011. There was 50-60% improvement in the lesions on palms and soles. Itching had reduced. There were no new boil like eruptions; only hyper-pigmented marks were left. Her feedback was studied by Dr. Shah and her medicines were upgraded. Dr Shah also added medicines for the hyper-pigmentation. In her next feedback on 7th January 2011, she reported 10-20% further improvement in her Psoriasis. Hyper-pigmented marks had also reduced.
By 7th February 2011, there was 90-95% improvement in her Psoriasis. Itching was better by 90-95%. She was very happy about the recovery.
