Case-1: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome patient finds significant recovery with 5 months of treatment

A case of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome finds significant recovery with 5 months of treatment

Carpal tunnel syndrome in palmsForty-three years old homemaker and a resident of Navi Mumbai, Mrs. V. C. K. (Patient Identification No- 22077) visited Life Force on 1st January 2014. She presented with intermittent numbness and tingling sensation in her palms since last 3-4 months. She was a diagnosed case of carpal tunnel syndrome. Her EMG/NCV report dated 07/09/2013 indicated bilateral (right>left) sensorimotor median entrapment neuropathy at the wrist, consistent with moderate carpal tunnel syndrome on right side and mild on left side.

She had visited a neurologist and was prescribed painkillers and multi-vitamin tablets. Along with this complaint, she also suffered from acidity associated with neck pain since many years. Her neck x-ray report was normal. She had severe bouts of acidity while traveling, with disturbed sleep and with alterations in diet. She felt better only after vomiting. Her complaint of acidity became worse after taking regular painkillers for Carpal tunnel syndrome and so she completely stopped taking them. Her appetite had decreased, yet she had a liking for sweet and spicy food.

She could not tolerate cold weather. One year back, she even suffered from an episode of mild facial palsy of the right side. She was on corticosteroids for 3-4 weeks after which she had recovered. Her father had Parkinson’s disease. She was thus genetic predisposed to nerve disorders. She wanted to start with homeopathy in order to avoid painkillers and to control her Carpal tunnel syndrome.

She was a mother of two; her husband was working with a private company. She was very sensitive and worrisome by nature. She always desired to be appreciated for her deeds. She was extremely affectionate towards everyone and expected others to reciprocate the same.

After studying her case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed her Viola Odorata 30 along with his research-based medicine for Carpal tunnel syndrome.

She called up our center after one month and reported that she was 50% better. Her numbness and tingling had reduced to a great extent. She reported her progress over the phone on 19th March 2014, she was further better. She now felt some numbness in palms only in the early morning around 5 am. Dr. Shah made some updates in the prescription.

She further reported on 2nd May 2014 that her numbness in the palms and tingling were better 80%. She now rarely experienced numbness. Her complaints of acidity was 90% better and there was no neck pain and no vomiting. She was glad, it had been 5 months since the start of the homeopathic treatment and she never felt the need to take conventional medicines. She is still continuing the treatment for complete recovery.

Thus, starting homeopathy at the right time helped her not only in controlling the pain and numbness but also prevented her from permanent nerve damage and its complications.
