Along with ankylosing spondylitis, he was also suffering from frequent headaches from 10 to 15 years. He used to get a severe headache once in a month, which would last for 12 hours. He would mostly have pain on the left side that may even radiate to his right side. His headache would get aggravated with acidity and gas and would get better by vomiting and sleeping.

He used to follow a mixed diet comprising both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. He would like spicy food. He would experience excessive generalized perspiration. He was intolerant of the hot climate. His bowels were not satisfactory.

He was working in the sales department of FMCG goods. His wife was a teacher. He had 2 sons, one son was four years old and the other son was one month old. He was a calm and straight forward person. He had financial stress, as he had lost a huge amount of money twice, after getting in the business. His job gave him an average salary. He was the only earning member of the family. He had to take care of his ill mother, ill mother-in-law, and a sister-in-law who was suffering from cancer for 8 years. He was very anxious regarding his illness.

His father had died due to septicemia and his mother had diabetes mellitus. There was no major history of any past illness.

His case was studied in detail by Dr. Shah, and he prescribed him his research-based medicine for ankylosing spondylitis.

The patient gave his first feedback over the phone on 29th January 2014. His pains and stiffness had shown a considerable improvement in terms of relief. The next batch of medicines was sent to him.

He submitted his 2nd feedback online on 29th April 2014 reporting of overall 50% improvement. He mentioned that he had stopped all his conventional medicines for two months. He also mentioned that now he would have pain only after sitting for a longer time than usual. The intensity of his pain had reduced drastically.

Later, when he reported on 24th June 2014 online, he mentioned that for 3-4 days he had started experiencing severe back pains. The pain would occur on continuous sitting or while sleeping. His medicines were revised according to his feedback and couriered to him.

He then visited us again on 16th October 2014. He had missed the treatment for 2 months. He reported of overall 75%-80 % improvement in his condition. His relief from neck and hip pains and stiffness was significantly better. There was a mild pain in his thoracic spine. He mentioned that his pains would increase with acidity and gas discomfort. His headache was much better than before. He had completely stopped all conventional medicines. He continued homeopathic medicines for the next two months.

He was thankful to Dr. Shah for his wonderful recovery.

Conclusion:

This case highlights that homeopathy not only provides you a great relief from the pain and discomfort resulting due to ankylosing spondylitis but also eliminates your dependency on painkillers.
