95% improvement with Homeopathy in a case of Steroid-masked Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis

Mr. S.K.S., a fifty-one-year old gentleman (Patient Identification Number: 18065) availed our online treatment on 25th January 2012, for his complaints of psoriatic arthritis.

His case details were obtained through a questionnaire. He stated of suffering from psoriasis since four years and had started suffering from complaints of psoriatic arthritis since two months.

He was suffering from severe joint pains and swelling especially affecting knee joints, elbow joints, right ankle joint, shoulder joints, right thumb and neck region. He also had active psoriasis lesions on his right leg.

He was prescribed cortisone, methotrexate injections and pain killers. He had also taken homeopathic treatment and ayurvedic treatment in the past for psoriasis.

He was also suffering from high blood pressure and hypothyroidism and was on conventional medicines for the same.

He had average appetite with no specific likes or dislikes about food. His thirst, perspiration and sleep were normal. He was more tolerant to hot climate.

He was a civil engineer by profession. His wife was a home maker and he had a daughter. His mother also suffered from hypertension. His father had passed away and he suffered from renal failure. He had three brothers and one sister. He had cordial relations with everyone.

He had suffered from typhoid in the past.

He was a happy go lucky person. He would rarely get angry.

His questionnaire and attached photos were studied in detail by Dr. Shah and research based medicines were prescribed for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. He was advised to gradually taper his conventional medicines.

With four months of medications, he reported of 60% relief in his arthritis pain. He had stopped cortisone and pain killers. He was still taking methotrexate. Some of his psoriasis lesions were aggravated. This aggravation is commonly seen when steroids are stopped.

With one year of treatment, there was significant improvement in his psoriatic arthritis and psoriasis complaints. He had now tapered his methotrexate dose from 10 mg to 2.5 mg. He also mentioned, that he was able to squat, which earlier he could not due to pain and swelling in knee joints.

He visited us personally, 1.5 years after the start of his treatment and was so happy to have achieved such improvement in his condition. His psoriasis lesions were almost recovered with no itching and no scaling of the lesions. His psoriatic arthritis was much better. He had stopped taking methotrexate from past four months and was only on homeopathic medications.

He was happy to share with us a written testimonial stating of 80% improvement in both the complaints. He also mentioned that since the start of the treatment, no new psoriasis lesions developed on the body. He was advised to continue the treatment for better recovery and further management of the disease.

After another year's treatment, he submitted his progress report with 90-95% improvement in his complaints. He had mentioned that there was no swelling of any joints and 90% relief in the severe joint pains. Occasionally, on getting up from his seat he would have some pain in the beginning and then with movement he would feel better. His psoriasis had further improved. He was extremely happy to have opted homeopathy against conventional medicines.
