Homeopathy Is Very Effective In Treating Chronic Laryngitis
A 41-years-old male, Mr. V.B.P. (PIN 25256) visited Life Force Homeopathy on 28th Mar 2015. He was doing a job as a government employee in Sales Tax Department.
He had an average physical built and fair complexion, and he was suffering from Chronic Laryngitis from the last 8 years. He complained of a recurrent cough with expectoration, which was more in the morning. He suffered from a cough with sticky white phlegm, sneezing, watery discharges from the nose, and fever at times. He also suffered from a mild throat pain, hoarseness in the voice, and dryness with the sensation of a ball of a cough present in his throat.
He had episodes of a cough twice a year in the monsoon and they used to increase with humidity. Recently, in the last 6 months, he suffered from episodes twice that lasted for 6-8 weeks. Once the episode begins, it used to last for the duration of about 1-2 months. Before 3 years, the episodes used to occur every 3-4 months. This used to upset him every time which made him visit Life Force and start treatment from Dr. Shah.
He also had other complaints of hemorrhoids with painless bleeding since the last 7 years.
The patient was non-vegetarian, and he had a good appetite. He had cravings for non-vegetarian food. His thirst for water was normal, and he had a scanty perspiration. He could tolerate both the extremes of temperature very well. There were no complaints with regards to his bowels, urine, and sleep.
He was staying in a nuclear family along with his wife, a homemaker, and 2 sons who were studying in the school. His parents used to stay in a village.
He had a very happy childhood, and he received love and affection from his parents in his childhood. Nowadays, he experiences job stress at times, however, everything was fine in his life.
He never suffered from any major disease condition in his childhood, except once he was diagnosed as allergic to a cough and cold and that made him suffer from cold very easily. And, he was advised to avoid dust, pollen, and perfumes. So, he had taken treatment from a physician about 4 years back for the duration of 1 year with a temporary improvement, and he had followed homeopathic treatment twice till date without any permanent relief.
All his family members were apparently healthy.
Dr. Shah studied his case in detail and prescribed Causticum 30 along with research-based medicines for 6 weeks.
He reported on 12th May 2015 with a considerable improvement in his relief from laryngitis. The relief from hoarseness in his voice had majorly improved. He had experienced a considerable improvement in his relief from the throat pain and cough. Also, his relief from nose discharges and sneezing was better.
On 23rd June 2015, he reported that he had a mild episode of throat irritation and a slight fever before 2-3 days, but the episode subsided without any additional medications. However, this time the throat pain and hoarseness had almost disappeared by 60%-70 %.
On 8th September 2015, he was happy with the result of the treatment as this recovery helped him to boost his confidence. Meanwhile, bleeding from his hemorrhoids had also decreased and his relief from pain was better. So, he continued with the same medicines for 2 months.
The patient later reported for a follow-up on 4th November 2015 that his relief from the complaints of sneezing was better, hoarseness had decreased, and his cough was stable. Thus, he felt better by almost 70%-75 %. So, he continued with the same medicines for 2 months.
On 28th January 2016, he reported that his cough got aggravated from the last week, most probably due to the winter season. But, his relief from throat pain had improved and hoarseness was also better than earlier. So, Hepar Sulph 30 was prescribed to him along with research-based molecules for 8 weeks.
In between April 2016 and July 2016, the relief of patient was almost better with respect to all his complaints including hoarseness of voice, cough, and throat pain. His sensation of a ball of a cough present in the throat was almost better.
So, when the patient visited us on 27th August 2016, the condition and relief of the patient had almost improved by 75%-80%. Since the last one and a half months, he suffered from no such episode. He continued with the same molecules prescribed by Dr. Shah for 2 months.
On 18th October 2016, the patient reported that his frequency had reduced to once in 5 days, which was more than this previously. His cough with sticky white phlegm had disappeared by almost 80%. His relief from the throat pain was better. His sneezing had decreased, and his relief from hoarseness along with dryness had also improved. No fever and no cough were reported by the patient. He continued his treatment for the complete recovery.
Conclusion:
The above case study shows that homeopathy is very effective in treating Chronic Laryngitis successfully.
