An Indo-American With A Rare Presentation Of Seborrheic Dermatitis Finds 80% Relief With Homeopathy

A 14-year-old teenager from Illinois, USA, Mast. T.P. (PIN: 25503) reported to the Life Force clinic with a complaint of small bumps on his nose that were itchy. The lesions looked oily and bumpy like pimples that never went away, no matter whatever he tried. The inflammation would lead to an itching sensation and, after scratching, the lesions would get worse. The eruptions left post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation which would take days to fade away. He had lesions earlier only on the nose and around the nose, however, they had started to spread near eyebrows and forehead. He had dry scaly dandruff. He consulted a local dermatologist in the USA who, after close observation, diagnosed it as Seborrheic dermatitis. He was suffering from complaints of Seborrheic dermatitis for the past 2-3 years, and it was earlier wrongly treated as Acne. His dermatologist prescribed him Tacrolimus 0.3% (Immunosuppressant), which he had not used. He was only on multivitamins and probiotics when he approached the Life Force clinic.

He suffered from motion sickness while traveling by air flights, boats, and cars. He also suffered from lactose intolerance, so he had stopped milk completely.

His mother was under the treatment from Dr. Shah for her Vitiligo and Rheumatoid arthritis complaint. His father was also a known case of Vitiligo. His younger brother suffered from Eczema, and his grandparents suffered from a Thyroid disorder.

He was a vegan by diet. He liked eating sweets and sugary foods. His thirst was less. He would not tolerate the cold weather. He perspired profusely, particularly on the scalp. His bowel and bladder functions were normal. His sleep was sound with no particular dreams.

He was staying with his parents and younger brother. He was born and brought up in the USA, however, his parents were from India. He visited India every year to meet his grandparents. When something would go wrong, he would express his anger by acting fussy or irritable. He was a very sensitive child and would get hurt easily. He was sensitive to the lights and noise. He would think everything is too loud and everyone talks loudly.

Based on his case details, he was prescribed Carcinosin 30.
    Follow-Ups:
When he gave his first follow-up on 11th July 2018, he was better by 25%. The top of the nose was cleared up, however, there were a few tiny lesions on the left side of his nose. His dandruff complaint was as it is. His relief from the itching was better by 50%.

After 8 months of continuous treatment, a good recovery from Seborrheic dermatitis was observed in his case. The recovery from the lesions was better by 80%. The nose and surrounding area were almost cleared up. Only tiny lesions were left behind. He is continuing with the treatment for further recovery.

    Conclusion:
Seborrheic dermatitis is a skin condition that frequently affects the scalp and upper body. Tacrolimus is powerful immunosuppressive medicine, and it does give immediate relief in seborrheic dermatitis, however, its long-term effects are often ignored by conventional doctors. The above case illustrates how Homeopathy is highly effective in treating the causes of seborrheic dermatitis at the root level remarkably and safely without any side effects.
