Case-2: Firm believer of Homeopathy now!
32 years old gynecologist, Dr. (Mrs.) S. S. K. (Patient Identification Number - 13457) visited our clinic on 17th March 2010. She had been suffering from Meniere's disease since 2 – 3 years. The frequency of attacks had increased since the last 2 months. She would now get nausea, vomiting and vertigo once in 15 days. Previously she would get it once in 7 – 8 months and it would last for 3 - 4 days. She would feel weakness and get bedridden during the attack. If she would get up from bed she would feel nausea and vomiting. She had to compulsorily lie down for relief. She would take food by lying down. Getting up was worst for her. It would increase with stress, fasting, sun exposure and exertion. She was taking tab vertin 16 mg thrice a day along with other medicines.
Her appetite was average with no specific liking or disliking. She was sensitive to warm temperature. Her digestion, urination and sleep were normal.
She was staying in a nuclear family with her husband and 4 years old daughter. Her husband was also a gynecologist and owned a hospital. They were staying in the hospital complex.
Her parents and her in laws were residing in a different city.
Theirs was a love marriage. She was happy and satisfied with her life. There was no stress in her life. She was short tempered and would express her anger on the hospital staff. Her husband was co-operative and caring. She would handle the patients while her husband would look after the administrative work.
Her father was suffering from heart disease and her mother has high blood pressure.
Dr. Shah prescribed her Silica 200c 2 doses along with other research based medicines.
She reported on 19th April with significant relief in her Meniere's disease. She had not suffered from any episode in the last 1 month.
She reported on 25th June with further relief in her symptoms. She did not have any relapse of the vertigo or vomiting.
She reported on 25th August with further relief in her vertigo and vomiting. Her case was reviewed and medicines were prescribed by Dr. Shah.
She visited on 15th April 2013 with some other minor complaints. When enquired regarding the Meniere's disease she gladly reported that she had recovered completely with Homeopathy.
