4 Years Persistent Tinea Corporis & 3 Years Persistent Acne Got Treated Effectively With Homeopathy At Life Force

A 27-years-old female from Mumbai, Ms. A. C. (PIN: 35164) approached Life Force on 8th January 2018 for treating her Tinea Corporis. She was suffering from the complaints of this fungal infection, which was affecting her in the form of pruritic skin with reddish circular elevated patches, from the last 4 years. These eruptions due to the fungal infection were present on her hips and lower 1/3rd legs. She was not on any medication for the last two years. She had taken the conventional medicines for three months and Homeopathy for four months from another physician but it did not help her.

She had other associated complaints of acne on face, arms, and upper back from the last 2-3 years.  Her appetite was average. She had no specific desire or aversion to the food. Her thirst was average. Thermally, she was a chilly patient. Her menstruation was regular and sleep was sound. Her stools and urine were satisfactory and no abnormality was noted in it.

She was working as a coordinator in Axis bank but now had stopped working. She was a mild, gentle, and sober person. She was cool and reserved person. She would take the time to mix with the people.

Her mother was suffering from Diabetes and Hypertension. Her brother was suffering from tinea. Her sister was suffering from an underactive thyroid. The patient had a past history of gallstone and jaundice.

Dr. Shah studied the case in detail and prescribed Bacillinum 30c TDS along with the research-based homeopathic medicines for 6 weeks.
In the first follow-up, the lesions of the patient were slightly better than earlier. Her itching had reduced to a minimum.

In the subsequent follow-up, the patient experienced around 80%-90% improvement in relief from Tinea and 60%-70% improvement in her relief from Acne. Her eruptions were no more active, and her itching had stopped completely. There was no recurrence of new eruptions from the time the treatment had started. The only concern of the patient was post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and, for that purpose, the patient is still continuing the medicines.

Conclusion:
This case study illustrates that homeopathy is strongly recommended and is highly effective in treating Tinea corporis and Acne significantly and safely without any side-effects.
