A Young Gentleman Recovered From Polymorphous Light Eruption With Homeopathy At Life Force

A 24-year-old IT professional, Mr. A. P. K. (PIN: 18628) visited our center on 20th March 2012 for his complaints of Polymorphous Light Eruption. He was suffering from this skin complaint since the last year. He had developed these lesions on his forearms and legs. He would experience a severe itching which would lead to bleeding on severe scratching. And, after a day or 2, it would turn reddish and start scaling. Then, the skin would appear wrinkled, whitish, and later it would heal. This would continuously affect him for the last 1 year. It would affect his various body areas, such as forearms, arms, legs, etc. It would increase more in the summer season. He had tried many allopathic treatments in the past but nothing had helped him. He would also suffer from recurrent pilonidal sinus for the last two years. He would take antibiotics as and when required.

His appetite was average. He had a liking for spicy food. He would perspire profusely all over the body and on his palms and soles. He could tolerate both extremes of temperature.

He was completing his engineering studies at an esteemed institute. His father was working and his mother was a homemaker. His younger sister was also studying. He was short-tempered and irritable in nature. He would express his anger by shouting. He had many friends, and he liked to socialize with them. His father was suffering from high blood pressure. His mother was suffering from diabetes. Her sister had suffered from a pilonidal sinus in the past.

Dr. Shah studied his case in detail and prescribed Silicea 30c single dose and Sulphur 30c single dose along with a few research-based medicines to the patient.

Follow-Ups:

He reported on 3rd May 2012 with a mild improvement in his recovery from the skin complaints. The eruptions had healed and new eruptions had appeared from the last 2 weeks. His relief from the pilonidal sinus was also mildly better.

He reported on 10th August 2012 with 30 – 40% improvement in his recovery from the eruptions. His relief from the dryness and itching was better.

He reported on 19th November 2012 i.e. after 8 months of the treatment with 90% improvement in his recovery from the skin complaints. There was no itching, dryness, or redness bothering her. He had recently been to Goa and played on the beach in the hot sun, yet, there were no eruptions. This incident made him very happy as he realized that the healing had taken place from within.

Conclusion:
This case highlights that homeopathy is highly effective in treating Polymorphous Light Eruption successfully and safely without any side-effects.
