Alopecia Areata Healed Completely With Homeopathy At Life Force

Alopecia areata is an autoimmune disease characterized by unpleasant patchy hair loss that starts with one or more circular bald patches that eventually start to overlap.

Causes of Alopecia Areata:

Alopecia Areata is an autoimmune condition in which the body’s defense system mistakenly attacks its very own body cells (hair follicles), thereby resulting in patchy hair loss.

Risk Factors of Alopecia Areata:

Here are common risk factors responsible for the occurrence of alopecia.

1. Family History of Alopecia: Chances of having alopecia areata are greater if there prevails a family history of alopecia

2. Family History of Autoimmune Disease: Individuals having family members with some autoimmune disorders, such as lupus, thyroid disorders, and diabetes, are more at a greater risk of developing alopecia areata.

Symptoms of Alopecia Areata:

The main symptom of alopecia is patchy hair loss. These bald patches are often found to be several centimeters or even lesser than that. Hair loss can occur on the scalp, eyebrows, eyelashes, and beard.

Types of Alopecia Areata:

  1. Alopecia Totalis: Hair loss of all the hairs on the scalp
  2. Alopecia Universalis: In this condition, the loss of hair affects the entire body, thereby resulting in the complete loss of all hairs on the body.

Seeking homeopathic treatment for alopecia areata can help regulate it. Let’s have a look at a case of alopecia areata treated with homeopathy effectively.

A 36-year-old male patient (PIN: 35672) approached Life Force Homeopathy on 12th February 2018 for the treatment of his complaint of alopecia areata. The patient was noticing patchy hair loss since 2017. Initially, he had noticed hair loss in the beard area, but, later on, he noticed hair loss on the scalp as well. Also, on the affected area, he noticed greying of hairs. There were around 8 patches on his beard and 1 patch on his scalp. Initially, the bald patches were button-sized, but, later on, gradually started to increase in size to that of a coin of Rs. 10. The spreading patches were bothering the patient and making him anxious and worried.

The medical history of the patient was asked. He was a hemophilia patient. He had a hip fracture in 2015 due to an accident. Also, he was having an inguinal hernia, an associated disease.

His family history was also asked to rule out autoimmune disease conditions in his family. No one had an autoimmune disease in his family.

Also, his current and past prescription details were updated. He was on homeopathic medicines for alopecia for 1 month.

A detailed case history was taken and his mental and physical symptoms were asked and updated.

The patient’s appetite was average, and he had craving for meat and fish. His thirst was average, and he drank 2.5-3 liters of water daily. The patient had a sound sleep, but he was getting recurrent dreams of snakes. His motion was satisfactory, and he had no urinary complaints as such. He was experiencing average perspiration and was more tolerant of the hot climate.

His psychological symptoms were also asked. He had a happy childhood with a supportive family. The patient’s married life was satisfactory, and he was staying with his wife and 5-year-old daughter in Delhi. He was a very reserved, sensitive person who would get hurt easily. Often, if someone would hurt him, he would get negative thoughts against that person that would last for many days in different forms. He was an insurance agent and was quite satisfied with his occupation. The only thing that bothered him was his health condition. He felt quite stressed thinking about his disease.

His general and systemic examination was done, and his BP and weight were checked and updated.

Dr. Shah had gone through the whole case history in detail and, after analyzing the case, prescribed the best suitable medicine to the patient.

Also, the patient was given a diet chart, links, and videos related to his disease condition.

Follow-Ups:

At the first follow-up on 14th April 2018, the patches on his beard were stable, but the patient had got 2 new patches on the scalp in the last week which was his major concern.

In the second follow-up on 3rd July 2018, the patches on his scalp were noticeably increasing in size. The patches on his beard were stable. Dr. Shah reviewed the entire case and prescribed medicine according to the presenting complaints.

On the follow-up on 5th December 2018, out of 3 patches on the scalp, he had experienced complete recovery from 2 patches with new hair growth. Slight hair growth was noticed on the patches on his beard as well.  However, he was noticing one new patch on his mustache on the right side.

By 27th January 2019, all the patches on the patient’s scalp had healed with new hair growth. But, no improvement was noticed on the patches over his beard and mustache.

At the follow-up on 22nd June 2019, the patient was no more developing new bald patches anywhere on his face and scalp. Also, the patches on his beard and mustache were showing slight improvement in terms of healing and small hair growth was noticed there.

When the patient gave follow-up on 1st February 2020, the patient was almost 50%-60% better. All the bald patches on his scalp had healed, and, now, he merely had 2 small Rs 5 coin-sized bald spots on his beard. Also, the bald patch on his mustache was slowly reducing in size and with hair growth on it.

At the follow-up on 29th March 2021, the patient was almost 80% better. No new bald patches had appeared, and the existing bald patches were reduced in size with fine hair growth.

By 22nd June 2021, the patient had experienced further improvement, and almost all his bald patches were completely covered with new hairs leaving no further bald patches.

The patient was overjoyed with the improvement that he experienced with homeopathy and was highly grateful to Dr. Shah and the entire team for treating him to recover from this unpleasant and stressful condition.

Conclusion:

This case illustrates that homeopathy works wonders in treating alopecia areata by addressing the altered immune system, thereby treating the disease from its root cause. Homeopathy works as a deep-acting medicine offering permanent results in most cases of alopecia. It is the safest and harmless mode of treatment that any patient can benefit from irrespective of their age.
