A 35 years old man, Mr. A. K. (PIN no 13899) was detected Hepatitis-C positive in October 05. He had a history of blood transfusion in 1992-93, for a major (ortho maxillo) surgery. When he came to the clinic, he was asymptomatic except for some tiredness.

His appetite was normal and he had desire for sweets and vegetables. He could tolerate excess of heat and cold climate. He had average perspiration and thirst. He had disturbed sleep with dreams related to anxiety regarding his illness.

He was a software engineer with relatively high risk at work.

He was a divorcee and felt very lonely. Anxiety for his disease condition was marked. Sadness, depressed and guilty feeling persisted.

He had no major illness in past except for ortho-maxillary surgery. There was no family history of any major illness. He was not under any kind of treatment for hepatitis C so far.

His reports in November 2007 were as follows:

SGOT: 32IU/L
SGPT: 36IU/L
ANTI HCV: +ve
HCV Viral Load: 1, 01,000 copies/ml
HCV RNA Geno typing Genotype 1b detected USG abdomen: within normal limits.

On basis of above case details Dr. Shah’s research based medicines were given and his viral count was done at regular intervals. His health remained stable and in course of 11 months his viral load dropped down to undetectable level.

The viral count was brought down to “undetectable limits” with homoeopathy in such a short duration and without any side-effects.

This case illustrates the fact that Hepatitis C has excellent scope in Homeopathy.
