A 67 years old patient Mr. S. S. M.(PIN 12645) visited Life Force on 12th September 2009, with a complaint of Atypical Neuralgia. He was suffering since last 2 years. He was having flickering of right eye and pulling sensation on right cheek. He used to get flickering every 5 minutes, lasting for 4-5 seconds. Vision of right eye was normal. His MRI report was showing 7th nerve compression. His complaints used to get aggravated by change of weather and draft of air.

He was on medicines Clinaxon (anti epileptic medicine) 500mg twice a day and Epitrin 5mg twice a day. His symptoms were not under control even with these medicines. The neurologists had given up chances of recovery.

He was also suffering from Eczema since last 15 years and was on steroid cream for the same.

He was having average appetite. Bowel movements, urination and perspiration were normal. He was chilly person with marked sensitivity towards draft of air. He was mild, gentle and expressive by nature.

Based on above history, Dr Shah prescribed him homeopathic medicines. Within initial 2 months, there was marked reduction in the intensity and frequency of flickering. It was reduced to 4-5 times in day in initial 2 months.

In his next follow up after 2 months, frequency of flickering was further reduced to once a day. Pulling sensation over right side of face was also reduced further. He could stop his conventional medicines without any increase in his symptoms.

Complete recovery was achieved in this case of Atypical Neuralgia within 8-10 months of homeopathic treatment.
