Mrs. S.N (Pin No. 15229) visited Life Force for complaints of Rheumatoid Arthritis and hair fall...

A 63 years old female, Mrs. S.N (Pin No. 15229) visited our centre on 18th December 2010 for the complaints of Rheumatoid Arthritis and hair fall. She had these complaints since February 2006, which was being managed by pain killers and methotrexate. In June 2010, she faced a severe relapse in the complaints, despite being on conventional medicines. Presently there was involvement of knee joints, shoulder joints, wrist joints, ankle joints and small joints of fingers. She has severe unbearable pain, every day. The joints were swollen, with redness and stiffness. The pain was aggravated in rainy and cold weather. She felt the pain more in the evening and it was better by hot fomentation. The pain was under control as she was on immunosuppressant drugs and high doses of pain relievers for the past 3.5 years. She also had the complaints of hair fall since last 6 months which was severe in intensity. It all started as she was under stress. Her appetite was reduced, while her thirst had increased. She had desire for sweets and aversion for spicy food. Her sleep was disturbed. She had attained menopause 10 – 12 years back and had no menopausal complaints. Physically she was averagely built. She had a past history of suffering from benign breast cyst in 1994, amoebiaisis of liver in 1998 and herpes infection. Her sister was a diabetic patient. Her husband and herself were living a peaceful retired life and had two daughters who were well settled and happily married. She was an anxious lady, who had the habit of taking “tension” for “small issues”. She was clever. She had a tendency to suppress her anger. She was helpful, reserved and enjoyed solitude. Dr. Shah studied her case in detail and prescribed her some research based Molecules and a constitutional drug, Kali Carb 30 C. In the first follow –up there was slight improvement of about 10 % in the complaints of pain, stiffness and swelling. The complaint of hair fall did not show any significant change. In the subsequent follow ups, the complaints of Rheumatoid Arthritis showed significant improvement and the hair fall was completely better as if it never existed. The pain, the swelling and the stiffness was completely relieved. She could reduce the immune-suppressants. She was advised to gradually reduce the pain-killers. Within 6 months of treatment she was off pain relievers and had some appreciable changes in her blood tests reports (ESR reduced). She is still undergoing treatment for her mild complaints to be completely relieved.
