Case-1: Good recovery in body and the spirit observed in a depressed lady
A sad depressed 42 years old female, Mrs. N. S. S (PIN - 15598), visited our center with the complaints of pain in both knee joints. She was suffering from knee pain since the last 4, 5 years. The pain would be felt throughout the day. There would be stiffness and pricking type of sensation in the joints. Her pain would increase by lifting any weight, walking fast, exertion and winter season. She would feel better by hot fomentation. There was noticeable mild crepitating on examination. She had been on calcium supplements and painkillers for a while but did not find any relief.
Her face expressed sadness.
She was emotionally disturbed for the past 2 years, which had aggravated in the last 2 months. She had become indifferent to her family members. She had socially withdrawn herself. She used to remain confined to home throughout the day. Her sexual life too had been affected. She liked to stay alone. She had become spiritually inclined. She said God is punishing me by giving me the knee pain. She became superstitious.
Her husband had called up at the center and spoken with a doctor and described the change in her nature. He was aware of Homeopathy and so he described in detail, the change in her temperament. She was a very jolly and enthusiastic person, however, she had changed a lot in the last one or two years.
She was vegetarian by choice and her appetite was average. She had no specific liking or disliking in taste. There were no complaints of perspiration, thirst, bowels, and urine. According to her, there were no complaints in sleep as well, but husband said it was disturbed and interrupted.
She was a homemaker. Her husband was in an administrative job in BARC. She had two daughters. The elder was in 10th standard, while the younger was in 6th standard.
She was a peace-loving lady. When her husband used to get angry, she would remain calm and quiet. Initially, it used to hurt her, but now she had become indifferent. She did not like to talk much. She enjoyed staying alone. She would get uncomfortable in a crowd and stressful conditions.
There were no major health issues in her family. Her father had high blood pressure.
After a detailed case analysis, she was advised to do an X-Ray of both knee joints. Her reports concluded – early osteoarthritis changes in both knee joints.
Dr. Shah prescribed Sepia 30 C and later on 200C and a research-based remedy.
In the first follow up there was a mild improvement in knee pain. Her indifference and sadness showed no positive change.
In the next few follow-ups, there was a gradual improvement in the knee joints pain. Her mental state had also started to show some positive improvements.
After 5 months of regular treatment, her knee pain was better by 50, 60 % and she had visited our clinic with a smiling face.
With further regular medication for another 3 months her knee pain was better by 80% and now she had started taking interest in her family and household chores. She appeared more jovial and fresh.
There was a good recovery in the body and the spirit! Normalcy was restored.
She had been advised to continue the treatment to obtain the best possible results.
