Case of Hailey Hailey disease, affecting skin, was greatly benefited with homeopathy

Mr. S.N.G. 55-year-old male patient (Patient identification number 9326) resident of Mumbai was suffering from Hailey Hailey disease since 1993. He visited Life Force on 30 Jan 2007 and started homeopathic treatment under guidance of Dr Rajesh Shah. 

He was suffering from blisters in the groin, arm-pits and scrotum with unbearable itching which was causing distress to him, even disturbing his sleep. He was not getting relief even with cortisone cream. After scratching severely, the skin would exfoliate and would become difficult to heal. Itching was worse on exposure to sun and in summer. He was better in the winter and rainy season. His dermatologist had suggested oral steroids, however his physician had objected to the use of any oral steroids, as he was suffering from high blood pressure and GERD. He had a family history of Hailey Hailey disease. His mother and brother were also suffering from this disease. His case was studied in detail. He was loquacious, irritable, abusive, and aggressive by nature. He could not tolerate contradiction. He wanted every thing in proper place. He was a train driver by profession. He was undergoing stress as his mother was suffering from schizophrenia and Hailey Hailey disease. He had an average appetite with craving for salty food. He had profuse perspiration all over body; He could not tolerate hot weather. His sleep was disturbed due to itching. His bowel habit was normal. Dr Shah studied his case in detail and prescribed him Natrum Muriaticum along with his research based homeopathic medicines.

He reported after two months, he was feeling better; no new blister appeared and itching had reduced which was earlier, not responding to steroids. He was happy and his stress also relieved.

On 15 July 2007, he reported that blisters had flattened and itching has further reduced. He was feeling much better and now he could sleep properly.
Dr Shah again reviewed the case and prescribed suitable remedies.

On 9 December 2007, he reported that his itching has improved a lot. He reported at Life Force on 8 June 2008, the disease activity had gone down very substantially. The skin was smoother, less inflamed and there were no scratch injuries. His case was again reviewed by Dr Shah and suitable medicines were prescribed. On 4th Nov 2008, he visited the center. He thanked Dr Shah for given him relief from this genetic condition. At the beginning of the treatment, Dr Shah had said that he would try his best, being a rare genetic condition; he had adequate experience in treating this particular disease. He also explained that homeopathic treatment is not administered on the name of the disease but on the basis of the underlying disease process. Applying the general laws of homeopathy and using his vast experience, Dr Shah could give good relief in this rare condition.
