GERD shows remarkable improvement in four months, with stoppage of conventional medicines.

An online patient Mr. J. S. consulted Dr. Shah for his complaints of G.E.R.D. He was residing in Qatar. He took the online treatment and replied to the Questionnaire in detail. He was suffering from symptoms of bloating in the abdomen and chest. These symptoms would come up after eating. He experienced difficulty in breathing due to the abdominal and chest fullness. He was relieved by burping. He also complained of recurrent throat infections and allergic bronchitis. The physician told him that this was due to the back flow of acid to the airway. When bloated up, he gasped for breath, while walking. He would also experience chest pain on being bloated up. If he missed a meal, or if he took spicy food or if he drank Coke or Pepsi, then he would get a burning sensation in the chest. He was on Pantaprazole one tablet per day. He suffered from acidity since the last 10 years. He was always on medicines such as Digene and medicines from his GP. Acidity was more severe when he would get angry or anxious. He was basically a very anxious and hurried person. As his responsibilities increased and he reached higher post’s his anxiety also increased. He would do things fast, even walk fast. Recently his anxiety has increased too much and situations such as meetings, interviews, deadlines, critical situations would cause palpitations, shivering, sweating and confusion. He has become more irritable and pessimistic off late. He also complained of lack of concentration recently. He also experienced acidity especially when stressed out. He would feel nauseating the whole day. He was also prescribed anxiolytics for the same, but these caused him excessive drowsiness. He described himself as an affectionate person; he liked to look at himself in the mirror and took pride in his good looks. He was changeable and moody. He was punctual and fastidious. He was an irritable and abusive person. He some times feels frustrated if his work is not over in time, he also felt jealous of people who earned more money. He also added that now a day, whenever he felt angry or anxious he felt pressure and heaviness in his head. Dr. Shah studied his case file and prescribed Kali Carb 30 C for him. Within 4 months there was substantial relief in the GERD. He reported after 4 months that the bloating was 75% better. There was no breathing difficulty. The acidity was almost gone. He had stopped all the antacids by then. He reported of a general sense of well being and his anxiety being consdierabley better. He was still sent medicines as maintenance dose. He had stopped all conventional medicines after starting Homeopathy.
