A businessman happily found 90% recovery in chronic Psoriasis.
Mr. A. I. V., 45 years aged (Patient Identification Number - 17334) visited our Borivali clinic on 24th October 2011. He was suffering from Psoriasis since 15 years. The affected areas were hands, knuckles and soles. It had been gradually increasing since 1.5 years. The lesions were mild. There was mild scaling, itching and dryness. As he was a businessman the stress had been a constant maintaining factor. He had been taking homeopathic medicines but it did not seem to give any relief.
He was also suffering from joint pains since 8 – 10 months. The joints affected were elbow, fingers and wrist joints. There was pain, stiffness and occasional swelling.
He also had heel pain since 6 – 7 years which was pricking in nature. He would recurrently suffer from mouth ulcers. There would be burning pain. It would increase if he had outside or spicy food.
His appetite was average with craving for sweets. There were no complaints in bowels, sleep, thirst or perspiration.
He was staying in a joint family with parents, wife and 2 children. His wife was a housewife. His father had retired and his mother was a home maker.
He was reserved and sensitive. The relations between his wife and mother were not cordial and hence it affected the patient. He would generally express his irritability and later regret.
In the past he had suffered from Eczema which was treated by naturopathy. He had been operated for tonsils at the age of 7 years.
His mother suffered from Eczema. His paternal uncle and cousin had Psoriasis.
His case was studied by Dr. Shah and was prescribed few research based medicines.
After 3.5 months medication he reported on 8th February, 2012 with 10 – 15% improvement in his Psoriasis. The itching, scaling and size of the patch on the hand had decreased. The feet were considerably better. The redness was same. The joint pains were also better. The heel pain was also better by 20%. The mouth ulcers were better by 50%. His case was reviewed and medicines were upgraded by Dr. Shah.
After 7 months of treatment he visited on 7th June 2012 with around 50% improvement in his Psoriasis. The itching and scaling had reduced by 70%. The redness was improved by 50%. The joint pains were better by 70%.
He visited on 19th October 2012 and reported with 70% improvement in his Psoriasis. Since last 2 weeks the lesions were fluctuating in redness and scaling. The itching had reduced further. The joint pains were further better. There was no heel pain. His case was reviewed and medicines were upgraded.
He visited on 9th December with over 80% relief in Psoriasis. The redness had completely reduced. There was mild and occasional itching and scaling. The joint pains were also better by 70%.
He was glad to report over 90% recovery on 29th January, 2013. The recovery can be best judges by the photos. The pain was also better by 90%.
He has been advised to continue for few more months as a maintenance therapy.
