17 years old teenager found 70% improvement in his rapidly spreading Lichen Planus within 10 months of medication.

Mr. M. S. (Patient Identification Number- 17435) visited our clinic on 7th November 2011 for his complaints of Lichen Planus. His Lichen Planus was extensive and rapidly spreading. He had been affected all over the body including the genitals.

There was severe itching on these active spots. He had taken some ayurvedic and allopathic medicines in the past for a few days.

He also complained of constipation for 5 – 6 years. There would be no urge to pass stools for days together.

    Rapidly spreading Lichen planus

His appetite was excessive. He liked spicy and sour food. His thirst was reduced. He would perspire profusely on the face. He was sensitive to warm temperature.

He was a student of engineering. His father was a civil engineer, working in a government organization. His mother was a homemaker. He had a younger sister who was studying.

He stayed in a nuclear family. He was nervous and anxious throughout the case taking. His father was dominating and overbearing; as a result, he was submissive. There would be a continuous thought process in his mind. He feared height and animals.

His father was suffering from high blood pressure.

He was prescribed some research-based medicines after a detailed case study by Dr. Shah.

In the first follow up after 4 months (6/3/12) – he reported with 50% improvement. The skin lesions had flattened. There was mild itching. The constipation was also better. There was no straining required.

In the second follow up after 8 months (14/7/12) – he visited with father and reported with 75% improvement. There were no active lesions, only post healed hyperpigmented spots. The constipation was also better.

After 10 months (10/9/12) – he reported with almost 80% improvement.

He is still continuing the medicines to experience a complete recovery.

This case illustrates the efficacy of homeopathic medicines in rapidly spreading Lichen Planus. We can achieve faster recovery in such cases where the patient had not taken steroids. These cases become simple to treat and recover faster.
