A Young Boy With Chronic Lichen Planus Got Smooth & Disease-Free Skin At Life Force

A 14-year-old young boy (PIN: 27138) consulted at Life Force in October 2015 for his complaint of Lichen Planus.

As we all know, Lichen Planus is an obstinate skin disorder, which is a long-standing (chronic), recurring, non-allergic, non-infectious, and non-contagious disease of the skin. In it, purplish, itchy, flat-topped bumps-like eruptions appear on the skin. Lichen Planus symptoms may appear on the skin, nails, mouth, scalp, or genitals.

In this case, the patient's legs, thighs, and feet were affected by the disease for three years. He had purplish, blackish eruptions on his lower legs. The itching was very severe. He had used steroid-based medicines for a long time, but, 15 days before his visit to Life Force, he had stopped all conventional medicine. Besides this, he had no other complaint.

The patient had a history of febrile convulsions. For that, he had taken conventional medicine for a few years. In his family’s medical history, his paternal grandfather had high blood pressure.

    Physical Generals:

He was non-vegetarian by diet and had cravings for sweets and milk. He didn't like spicy food. His thirst and bowel movements were normal. However, he had profuse perspiration tendency, mainly on his palm and sole. His sleep was sound. He lived in a joint family with his parents and his elder brother.

    Mental Generals:

He was very calm and silent. He was shy and timid but mixed up easily with new people. He had a fear of darkness. He had a weeping tendency.

As per his condition and based on his case details, an appropriate research-based molecule of Dr. Shah was prescribed to the patient.

    Follow-Ups:

In December 2015, he reported about his condition. His condition had improved drastically. All his eruptions responded well to homeopathic medicine.

After following the homeopathic treatment for 6 to 7 months, his condition was 90% improved. No itching nor dryness was present. Most of his active spots had converted into an inactive form. Only dull hyperpigmented spots were present on his legs.

He continued the medicine for a few more months. And, his condition was stable and under control.

As we know, we can see the relapse in such type of immune complaint. The patient also reported some new eruptions on his inner thigh in February 2017. Mild itching was present. As per his condition, he was prescribed the changed medicine.

Later, within 3-4 months, his relief in new eruptions had 75% improved. No new eruptions appeared in this duration.

In March 2018, he completely recovered from his condition of lichen planus. No eruptions appeared on his legs. No itching nor any other symptom was present. As no complaint was present, he was advised to stop the treatment and advised to follow all diet and management points for maintaining a healthy and happy life.

His family was happy to get the result with homeopathic medicine which has no side-effects.

    Conclusion:

This case highlights that homeopathy is highly effective in treating lichen planus successfully and safely without any side-effects.
