A Significant Improvement Observed In The Case Of Ataxia

A 24-years-old girl from a suburb of Mumbai, Miss. N.G. (PIN 20504) registered at Life Force on 8th January 2013 for the treatment of Spinocerebellar ataxia. She came for a distant part of Maharashtra state.

Dr. Rajesh Shah evaluated her case in detail and examined all the medical reports. She was a diagnosed case of Spinocerebellar ataxia, which happened to be an inherited variety. Her father too had suffered from the same disease. This is a progressive, autosomal dominant spinocerebellar ataxia, which started when she was 14 years old. It progressed much more in the last two years. She was examined for all neurological parameters.

We treat patients from USA, UK, Canada, Australia, UAE & 180 more countries. Get an expert opinion on your ailment, click here to ask Dr. Shah's team directly.

Her gait was affected, which had a wide base. She was suffering the tremors affecting her hands. She had a great difficulty with maintaining the balance. She was losing her balance and would tend to fall. She was experiencing the trembling of her hands and feet. Her speech was affected, and she had slurred speech called as dysarthria. Her eyesight was poor. She had early degenerative changes in the retina.

She had developed vertigo or giddiness, which was her major concern lately. She was feeling giddiness on bending her head backward. Her vertigo would last for about 15 minutes and it was severe. Her SCA 2 DNA PCR test on 20.4.2012 was positive. Due to the tremors, she was not able to do fine work using her hands. She was not able to eat on her own. She was not able to brush her teeth and do such regular chores.

Her MRI Brain (6.9.2011) was showing Diffuse cerebellar atrophy with atrophy of middle cerebellar peduncle.

She had typhoid fever three years ago. Her mother was diabetic and father had developed ataxia at the age of 50 years.

Based on her symptoms, MRI reports, and clinical examination, Dr. Shah prescribed to her homeopathic remedies which included his research-based medicine and some doses of Alumina in 30c potency on 8th January 2013.

She was reviewed at the six weeks interval. On 24th April 2013, she reported with the following improvements: She felt good. She started eating on her own, which was a significant change. Her giddiness had reduced gradually and it stopped completely by this time, which was again a great change. Her tremors did not improve.

The changes shown by the patient in about four months were encouraging for treating such a disease. Unfortunately, this patient could not continue treatment with us.

Conclusion:

This case illustrates that homeopathy can treat ataxia effectively and improve the condition of the patient significantly.
