A Case Of Osteoarthritis, Cervical Spondylitis, Acidity & Urticaria Treated Effectively At Life Force
51-years-old Mrs. MPS (PIN 23204) visited Life Force Homeopathy in July 2014 for the treatment osteoarthritis (OA), cervical spondylitis, and acidity.
She was suffering from the pain in her right knee joint, finger joints and both the heels for two years before visiting Life Force. Her pain was increasing gradually, and she developed stiffness and mild swelling in the affected joints. Her pain would get aggravated in the morning on waking up, on the initial movement, and in the cold weather. She would experience more pain and stiffness in her right knee joint if she sits in AC for a long time. She would experience difficulty in making the first move. On investigations, her Rheumatoid factor test and serum uric acid level were normal and the multiple joint pain was diagnosed as osteoarthritis (OA). She took Ayurvedic medicine for one year without any significant relief.
She also suffered from cervical spondylitis. She would experience pain on the left side of the neck which would radiate to the middle of the back. She could not lift heavy objects as it would aggravate the pain. She was doing regular neck exercises, and she used to feel better for some time after that.
Mrs. PMS was also suffering from acidity and constipation. She would experience retrosternal burning, eructations, sour water in the mouth, nauseated feeling, heaviness in the abdomen, and unsatisfactory stools almost once or twice in a week. She would experience it more aggravated manner after eating spicy or sour food. She had to take antacids to get some relief.
In the past, she had suffered twice from tuberculosis, which was treated with the conventional treatment. Her mother had OA knee.
She would prefer a vegetarian diet and would love to eat sweets and pickles. She would get profuse sweating all over her body.
She was staying in a nuclear family. Her husband was into the construction business. Her son was helping him in the same business. Her daughter and daughter-in-law both were architects. She was a fun-loving woman but would get irritable if things would go against her wish. She had a fear of being alone. She was very sensitive towards her family and would get stressed out easily on small issues.
After analyzing the case history and examination of the patient, Dr. Shah prescribed her SEPIA 30, ARANEA DIADEMA 30 and other research-based medicines.
After 2 months of the treatment in September 2014, she reported 50% improvement in OA. The pain and stiffness in her right knee, finger joints, and both the heels had reduced by 50%. The swelling of the affected joints was also reduced. The cervical spondylitis pain was better by 25%. There was hardly any change in the acidity and constipation. Dr. Shah upgraded the prescription after analyzing the follow-up.
In October 2014, the patient reported a new complaint of urticaria. She was getting hives on her hands and palms with redness and itching. Dr. Shah prescribed the medicines accordingly.
When the patient visited for a follow-up in December 2014, her pain, stiffness, and swelling in joints were better by 60%. The cervical pain was also better by 50%. There was around 50%-60% improvement in the relief from acidity and constipation. Urticaria was much better. She continued the medicines prescribed by Dr. Shah.
In the early months of 2015, the patient was much better than earlier. Her OA and cervical spondylitis were better by more than 75% and her condition was stable. Her acidity and constipation were completely under control. She was absolutely free from Urticaria. She stopped her treatment at the end of 2015.
She revisited Life Force in April 2018 with a new complaint of recurrent chronic Sinusitis. She mentioned that her osteoarthritis and cervical spondylitis were completely under control and not affecting her daily life at all. She didn’t experience acidity, constipation, and urticaria in the last 3 years. She is very happy with the services and treatment at Life Force.
