11-Years-Old Girl Recovers Completely From Psoriasis In 8 Months Of Treatment
An 11-year-old girl from Mumbai, Ms. N.B. (PIN: 39290) visited Life Force Kemp’s Corner clinic in February 2019 for the treatment of her complaint of Psoriasis.
She was suffering from psoriasis for 5-6 years. It was spreading more from the past 1 year. The spots were large, and psoriasis had affected both her elbows, knees, thighs and upper eyelids. She was experiencing a lot of itching on the affected areas. Her skin had become red and thick. There was scaling present on the affected skin. Her skin had become dry and cracked. It was gradually spreading all over her body. She had taken steroid treatment in the past for 2 to 3 years, but there was no change. It was spreading more and more. The disease had affected the patient physically as well as mentally. She was unable to attain school as other kids were getting scared looking at her skin. She was very upset about it.
She had a very low appetite. She was underweight, as her diet was not proper. Her thirst for water was average. There were no issues with her urine and stool. Her sleep was sound and refreshing.
She was studying in 5th Standard. She was belonging to a middle-class family. She had 1 brother and 1 sister. Her father was doing a job, and her mother was a housewife. She was very shy and reserved by nature.
She had a history of tuberculosis in the past. There were no other major illnesses in her family.
After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed Mezereum 30 and some research-based homeopathic medicines to the patient. Diet and regular application of moisturizer was also advised along with the medicines.
Follow-Ups:
At the first follow-up, on 27th March 2019, the patient and her parents reported that she was around 10%-15% better with the medicines. Her itching had reduced than before. The redness of the skin was less. Dryness and scaling on the affected area had reduced than before. No new patch had appeared nor the spread of the disease had occurred after starting with homeopathic treatment. She was overall better with the medicines.
On 6th May 2019, the patient and her parents updated that she was better, but, from the past 1 month, her complaints had increased again. Her itching and scaling had aggravated. A mild spread of the disease was also noticed from the past 1 month. She got a few new spots on her legs. Based on this feedback, Dr. Shah made some changes in the medicines and prescribed them to the patient.
On 17th June 2019, the patient reported being almost 40%-50% better with the medicines. All of her symptoms had reduced by 50%. The itching and scaling were reducing. The thickness of the skin on the affected part was also been reducing. No spread of the disease had occurred nor any new spots had appeared in the past 1 month. She was overall stable with the medicines.
On 11th September 2019, the patient and her parents updated that she was 70% better with the medicines. The itching was very mild now. The scaling was not present. Her skin was dry, but there was no redness of the skin. The disease was completely under control with the medicines. Her weight was also improving gradually.
On 21st October 2019, the patient reported being almost 90% better. The itching had completely vanished. The scaling was not present. Her skin had almost become normal. The dryness of the skin was present but less than before. She was now able to go to school regularly. She had started making new friends now.
The patient and her parents were very happy with the results. They thanked Dr. Shah and the whole Life Force team for changing her life and improving her health incredibly. She is still under our treatment to get complete recovery.
