A 45-years-Old Lady Got Excellent Improvement In Relief In Urticaria With Homeopathy At Life Force
A 45-year-old lady, Mrs. S.P.B. (PIN: 43021) was suffering from urticaria and swelling over the lips and eyes for 1 year. She came to Life Force on 25th April 2020. She was suffering from episodes of urticaria 4-5 times a day, and an episode used to last for 15-20 minutes with moderate severity. She used to have large raised weals on her hands, legs, abdomen, and thighs and swelling over the lips and eyes once a week. She started experiencing itching in the last 1-2 months. Before that, no itching was present. She suffered from the sensation of heat and burning sensation in the affected areas. All her complaints were aggravated by heat, perspiration, and curd. Allergic testing was done on 18th March 2019 and found that she was allergic to floor mite, bajra, pumpkin, karela, and dog dander. She was taking Ayurvedic medicines from 5-6 months and Tab. Cetirizine/antihistamine once in 7-8 days from 3-4 months. 
She was suffering from an Underactive thyroid from 6-7 years, and it was triggered due to the sad demise of her brother at a young age. 
The patient was a vegetarian. Her appetite, thirst, and perspiration were average. Her sleep was sound. Her menses were regular. She was fair and flabby in the constitution. 
She was mild, gentle, happy, and well -supported by the family. She is working as a librarian in a public library.
She had a history of Tinea infection 1 year back. In her family, her father suffered from Cancer of the intestines, and her mother had hypertension and diabetes. But, she had no family history of urticaria or allergy.
Dr. Rajesh Shah studied her case in detail and prescribed his research-based medicines to the patient. The patient got very good relief in her symptoms.
Follow-Ups:
In May 2020, at the time of the first follow-up, the patient said that her relief in urticaria was 50 % better in terms of frequency and duration. The frequency of the rashes had reduced to twice/day, and the frequency of swelling over the lips and eyes was reduced to once/week. The duration of the episode was reduced to 5-10 minutes. The itching had reduced by 50 %. Also, drug dependency was reduced.
In August 2020, the patient was further better. Urticaria was no more bothering her now nor she had swelling over the lips and eyes. She had no itching 20 days after starting the treatment. The sensation of heat and burning discomfort had also reduced. The antihistamines Tab. Cetirizine had stopped.
In September 2020, the patient said that she was almost 100% better and had no episodes of rash, weals, or itching affecting her. She was very happy with the recovery.
Conclusion:
This case illustrates that homeopathy is highly effective in treating urticaria successfully and safely without any side-effects. It helps to reduce the frequency, duration, and severity of episodes and dependency on antihistamines.
