A 13-Year-Old Girl Found Complete Hair Regrowth In Her Alopecia Areata Patches With Homeopathy
A 13-year-old girl from Mumbai, Ms. R.C. (PIN: 30694) started homeopathic treatment in April 2018 for her complaints of chronic Alopecia Areata.
She was suffering from this condition for 3 years. It began with a small coin-shaped bald patch on her scalp which then gradually started increasing causing her hairline to recede.
The patient was under steroidal treatment for a brief period which provided her temporary relief, however, she suffered from a relapse after the stoppage of steroids in 2017. She had a visible receding hairline associated with her alopecia patch near her forehead. Due to this, the patient experienced a lot of social discomforts.
The patient had an average appetite. She had specific cravings for sweets and chocolates. Her thirst for water was less. Her sleep was refreshing.
She was studying in school. Her father was a businessman. The patient had a younger brother. She was very caring and loving.
The patient never had any other major illnesses in the past. Her mother had an underactive thyroid and complaint of anxiety.
After studying and analyzing her case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed some research-based homeopathic medicines to the patient.
Follow-Ups:
In the subsequent follow-ups, the patient reported that her complaints were as it is. The patch on her scalp was the same as before. Based on this feedback, Dr. Shah prescribed further medicines to the patient.
On 29th October 2019, the patient reported that there is a slight difference with the medicines. The spread of the disease had stopped. No new bald patch was observed on the scalp after starting with homeopathy. The patch on the scalp showed a slight hair regrowth. She was overall stable with the medicines.
On 11th August 2020, the patient and her parents reported that she was almost 40% better with the medicines. The patch on her scalp had experienced hair regrowth.
On 25th September 2020, the patient reported being 50% improved in her recovery from the existing patch. Her overall health was also improving. She observed new hair regrowth in the affected area above the forehead that faded her receding hairline.
On 22nd Jan 2021, the patient updated that she was completely fine with the medicines. The recovery from the patches on her scalp was better. A complete hair regrowth had occurred. After this Dr. Shah has been treating the patient with her hair thinning complaint.
