Mrs. M.R. (Patient Identification Number: 12483) 38 years old female, visited Life Force in August 2009, for her complaints of Meniere's Disease.

She was suffering with Meniere's Disease since 6 years. It started with mild vertigo in 2003 with severe attack of vertigo in 2005, since then she had frequent attacks of vertigo. There was continous sound like a tunning fork ringing in her ears; mainly the left ear, associated with giddiness and heaviness in the head. The complaints would increase in the morning while getting up, turning head sidewards suddenly, from stress, in winter, monsoon and was better with rest. She had taken conventional mode of treatment in the past with no relief in her symptoms and now she was on Tablet. Vertin 24 mg twice daily, but inspite of taking tablet Vertin there were complaints of vertigo and noises ringing in her ears. She preferred both veg and non vegetarian type of diet. Her appetite was good, she had special craving for sweets. She would get perspiration more on the face. She preferred both hot and cold climate. Her motions and urine was normal. She had a past medical history of Pulmonary Tuberculosis 15 years back which was completely cured with Anti Koch's Treatment. Her father had Hemiplegia and mother had expired due to heart attack. Her Audiogram as done on 1/10/08 sugested :- right ear: minimal sensorineural hearing loss, left ear: mild to moderate sensorineural loss. Mrs. M. R. was a staff nurse in a Government hospital in Mumbai. Her husband was a techinician in western railway and she had two daughters who were studying. Her childhood was good, there was no major stress in her childhood. But after her mother's death, been the eldest child she had to take up all the family responsibilities. She was very calm by nature but she never supported anything wrong in her work. She was very hardworking and conscientious about her work. Due to some reasons, she did not get appropriate promotion in her job, which always kept her worrying. Her case was studied in detail by Dr. Shah and she was prescribed Tuberculinum 1M along with Dr. Shah's reasarch based medicines. After 4 months, she was 60-70 % better, there was sensation of fullness in the ear and sometimes she felt giddiness but her tinnitus had reduced. She was still on Tablet. Vertin once daily. She was again prescibed the same medicines. After another 4 months, she was much better there was mild giddiness and her tinnitus had completely stopped. Her case was again studied in detail by Dr. Shah and necessary changes were made in her medicines. Dr Shah advised her to stop Vertin. She remained allright. She continued the treatment for four more months, after which Dr Shah advised her to stop her Homeopathy too. She was now completely fine.
