Corticosteroid Dependent Vitiligo-Affected Areas Showed 80% Re-Pigmentation With Homeopathy
A 45-year-old male patient, Mr. Rakesh (Name changed) (PIN: 39195) came to Life Force and started Homeopathic treatment for his complaints of Vitiligo in 2019.
He was suffering from vitiligo for the last 5 years, and vitiligo spots were present on his fingertips of both the hands, little fingers, palms, soles, and also over the knee area. Hypopigmented spots were present on his fingers majorly. Being administered with lots of re-pigmentation agents (allopathically), he was unable to see any improvement in his affected skin. He also was suffering from chronic constipation and mouth ulcers.
Physical Generals:
The patient had cravings for sour and salty foods. His thirst was average. His sleep was sound & refreshing.
Psychological and Family Make-Up:
The patient was running his business successfully, despite his health issues of a disturbed appetite, chronic constipation, and fissure in ano. He was fastidious and anxious. He was extremely friendly and, overall, a happy person. He was staying with his family, and he had good relations with everyone.
Self and Family’s Medical History:
He had no medical history of any major illness in the past, Also, there had been no history of any major illness in his family.
At Life Force:
After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed some research-based homeopathic medicines along with some dietary tips to the patient. The patient was also informed about tapering the dose of steroids and not stopping it all of a sudden as it can cause an increase in the disease symptoms.
Follow-Ups:
At the first follow-up on 18th March 2019, the patient reported that there was a mild improvement with the medicines, though he was using steroid medicines along with Life Force’s homeopathic medicines. On the little finger of his right hand, he saw re-pigmentation and stability in patches of other areas.
On 28th April 2019, when the patient came to Life Force, further re-pigmentation had occurred in his spots of vitiligo. His recovery from vitiligo had improved by 40%. Other lesions were stable, and he mentioned that he had started noticing a difference.
During the follow-up on 19th July 2019, the patient mentioned that his recovery from vitiligo had improved by 60% with further re-pigmentation improved by 60% in the right hand.
On 15th October 2019, the patient mentioned that the re-pigmentation was now more than what he observed in the last follow-up. The lesions were re-pigmented. Also, no new spots of vitiligo had developed.
On 15th January 2020, the patient visited the Life Force clinic and mentioned that his recovery from the spots on the mucocutaneous junctions & hands improved and showed re-pigmentation up to 80%. Also, the vitiligo spot present on the knee joint was stable and was not progressing further.
Along with the treatment for vitiligo, the patient was taking treatment for piles and constipation, relief from which improved up to 70% in 4 months of treatment.
The patient thanked Dr. Shah and the whole Life Force team for treating him and eliminating his dependency on steroids. He is still under treatment to get completely recovered from his disease.
At present, the patient is under maintenance treatment for vitiligo and is now free of corticosteroids.
Conclusion:
This case illustrates that homeopathy is highly effective in treating Vitiligo, which was corticosteroid and immunosuppressant dependent, with incredible results and safely without any adverse effects.
