12 years old boy cured from psoriasis using homeopathic medicines

Mst K.S.S, PIN: 15217, a child of 12 years visited our center with the complaints of psoriasis since last 3-4 years on 17 December 2010.

Mst K.S.S presented with reddish patches on the scalp, hands and legs which were very itchy and scaly. There were big reddish patches and his hands were constantly on the patches due to the dryness and the itching.

His mother mentioned using steroids for it with out much relief. They were very worried as at such a small age he has developed a dreadful disease. They had read about psoriasis and the adverse effects caused due to use of steroids so they were opting for Homeopathic treatment.

His case was studied in detail.

Mst K.S.S was a vegetarian and his appetite was average. He had craving for spicy food. His urine was normal but there were certain issues with his bowel habits, he was usually constipated. His stools were hard and required a lot of straining. Thermally he was hot patient. His sweating was very profuse.

His sleep was sound and refreshing. He was obese for his age.

He was studying in 6 th standard. His father had business of dabur products, mother was a clothes designer. He was staying in a joint family along with his grand parents and paternal uncle and aunty.

As a child he was very stubborn and mother mentioned him being strong headed. Once he decides on something then will do it by any means. This attitude of his was not going very well with the family as they were of the opinion that this stubborn attitude was too much for a 12 year old boy and they wanted him to change it. His anger was beyond control, if things didn't go the way he has decided. But he was very compassionate and sympathetic towards animals especially dogs, would feed and take care of the street dogs.

He was on local steroids for some time, which were asked to be reduced by Dr Shah and the parents were explained about the withdrawal effect.

At the 2 months follow up (8 February 2011), Mst K.S.S reported some increase in the psoriasis, the itching was more. His parents were explained about the adverse effects of steroid withdrawal and were asked to keep patience.

At the 4 months follow up (20 April 2011), Mst K.S.S reported that the itching was unbearable and the redness of the patches had also increased. The medicines were altered based on this feedback.

At the 4.5 months follow up (23 May 2011), Mst K.S.S reported that for the first time he can see some significant change in his psoriasis. The itching was much less, the scaling was less and the psoriatic patches were clearing up and normal skin was appearing on the scalp and legs.

At the 7.5 months follow up (3 August 2011), Mst K.S.S reported that the psoriatic patches were fading away and the skin was appearing absolutely normal.

At the 1 year follow up (12 Jan 2012), Mst K.S.S reported having absolutely healthy skin and no more psoriatic patches on the skin and he had stopped all allopathic medicines.

Mst K.S.S last reported on 5 may 2012, stating that he is doing very well in the skin and still continuing the treatment as is recommended by Dr. Shah.
