Woman with Trigeminal Neuralgia pain episodes after brushing eating and talking, she recovered completely with 8 year follow up

Elderly woman aged 61 years Mrs. T. L. (Patient Identification number- 8576) was suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia since the last five years. She approached Life Force on 14th June 2006 and registered online for the homeopathic treatment under Dr. Shah.

She belonged to Erode, Tamil Nadu. She had been suffering from trigeminal neuralgia since long and had become dependent on Carbamazepine, the conventional medicines. Even with the treatment, she was not getting complete relief in her pain. She used to get severe episodes of pain while brushing, eating and talking. Her pain radiated to her head. She described the sensation of the pain as pulling and stabbing type of pain. Her complaints would become worse after traveling and taking stress.

She was very sensitive and anxious by nature. She was also suffering from diabetes mellitus. Earlier she suffered from cancer from which she had physically recovered. This pain had distressed her completely. Even her mother suffered from trigeminal neuralgia. Her daily routine was disturbed and she showed no interest in talking to people or eating food because of her pain. She was physically and emotionally traumatized due to her health.

Her case details were studied by Dr. Shah and he prescribed Cedron 30c along with research based medicine for trigeminal neuralgia. She was also advised to continue her conventional medicines as she had become dependent on them and was told to tapper them off gradually.

She reported her feedback over phone and emails regularly. After 4 months of homeopathic medications she was feeling 50% better. The intensity and frequency of pain episodes had fairly reduced. She had then started tapering her conventional medicines. In March 2008, she reported that her attacks of pain have increased, though the intensity was moderate. Some alterations were made in her prescription by Dr. Shah.

In April 2009 she reported that she was 90% better. She rarely got episodes of pain after traveling but with very mild intensity. She sounded happy because she was no more dependent on conventional medicines. In February 2010, she reported of being cured 100%. There were no episodes of pain and she had become emotionally strong once again. She is still under maintenance homeopathy treatment under Dr Shah, when this case study is being written on 6th May, 2014.

She wanted to continue with homeopathic medicines; knowing them to be free from any side-effects and for her general well-being.

Thus, this lady could be successfully treated with Homeopathy and she could stop the conventional medicines, which were supposed to be taken life long.
