An aged man, 75 years old was successfully treated for his rapidly spreading Psoriasis.

Mr. M. T. P. (Patient Identification Number - 17345) visited our Borivali clinic on 26th October 2011 with his younger son. He was suffering from rapidly spreading, extensive Psoriasis for 5 months. His symptoms were dryness, scaling, and maculopapular eruptions. He had severe itching followed by burning. The nails too were affected due to Psoriasis. He had been applying lots of steroid medicines and taking phototherapy for a few months.

He was also suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart block, being managed by conventional medicines.

He was a vegetarian by choice. His appetite was decreased. He did not perspire much. He could not tolerate cold weather. He was tall and lean in appearance.

He was living a retired life. He was a secondary school teacher. His wife was a homemaker. He had 3 children. His daughter was married and well settled. Both his sons were well settled. He was staying with his younger son.

He was irritable and short-tempered. He had always believed in perfection. He was a responsible and duty-conscious person. He had sincerely attended to all his duties, professionally as well personally. He was punctual and a disciplinarian.

He had suffered from atopic dermatitis in the past.

His case was studied in detail by Dr. Shah and he has prescribed Silica 30c 2 doses and some research-based medicines.

He reported on 10th February 2012 with considerable improvement in his psoriasis. The itching and dryness had reduced. He was able to gradually taper and stop the application of steroid-based cream. His nails showed mild improvement.

After 6 months of medication (19/4/12) – he reported around 40% improvement in his complaints. The dryness and itching had further reduced. His nails were further better. His case was reviewed by Dr. Shah and his prescription was upgraded.

After 8 months of medication (23/7/12) – he reported 60% improvement in his psoriasis. The nails had further improved. The scaling was nil. The dryness had reduced significantly.

He reported on 20th October 2012 with 90% improvement in his skin and nails psoriasis. The itching was occasional. There was minimal scaling and dryness.

He is very happy with the treatment and is continuing further treatment.
